Owner description: The Sunshine Mill now houses Quenett and Copa Di Vino wineries owned and operated by James and Molli Martin, both from The Dalles. Quenett Winery released its first vintage in 2002 and burst onto the wine scene with its outstanding vintages of Sangiovese and Zinfandel. The word Quenett comes from the journals of Lewis and Clark, who camped along luscious and fruitful banks of the Columbia River and learned from the local Indians that the word Quenett meant "Steelhead."

After doing many wineries in the area one of our target locations based on our research was sunshine mills.
The wine was very good, some of the best we have tried.
The pours were ok size and the only $7 for the wine tasting.
We ordered the cheese plate and it was just what we needed to fill in between meals. Good selection of cheeses server with artesian bread and crackers.
Would good again...!

Great place to sit and relax while sipping some fine wine. The mill is still in tact. We were able to tour the facilities. Cool old building. The tasting room complements the surroundings. Old furniture but comfy and clean. You can pick your favorite album while tasting. Future plans are to turn this building into a hotel. Visit it before that happens. Even though you pay to taste, they will take the price off of a bottle of wine. Our designated driver was treated well with a free soft drink and crackers.

This old flour mill once produced Sunshine crackers (and Cheez-its!) and is now a very popular wine-tasting venue. Great entertainment on Friday nights, and good appetizers are available as well.

We are involved in the same sort of venture, that is bringing old flour mills back to life. We have 2 projects underway in Australia and appreciate that it is no easy task. Having said that I would like to congratulate the owners and management of the Sunshine Mill, this place has a wonderful ambience. I hope visitors understand that refurbishing buildings is one hell of an assignment, so it can take quite some time to really get going. I love the concept of Copa Di Vino and hope the product is a winner. Well worth a visit just to reflect on a historical landmark and work skills of yesteryear.

While exploring the area the Sunshine Mill Winery was recommend to us. We weren't sure at first we were at the right place. The outside is definitely a former mill, silos and all. We were there a little before opening but were welcomed inside. The basement/ground floor has been converted into a tasting room and function hall. We enjoyed the wine and antipasto platter as well as the story of how the mill is being converted.
