I've stayed at this Courtyard many times. Staff is always pleasant. Usually the rooms are clean and everything works as it should. This is my minimum standard for hotels and yet most places can't meet it regardless of price. Rooms are comfortably furnished. Free wifi works. No free breakfast but I can live without it. Good location. Wish for a little more space at the business center and the front entrance was VERY poorly designed -- stairs retrofitted to a clumsy ramp. Not a reason to avoid staying here but it is an annoyance.

The staff is friendly but the bed was worse than horrible. I mentioned the problem to the front desk staff the morning after the first night but they waited until my last night to try to rectify the bed problem. When one reads multiple other comments about terrible beds, the comments are not exaggerated. Until the management decides to spend the money to update beds, I'd highly recommend finding somewhere else to stay.

Thank you for taking time to contact us regarding yoru experience with our hotel. As a Marriott Rewards Elite Member, we appreciate your comments and feedback very much and the time you took to respond to my email. The King size bed in your room had two broken slats in the box springs and a new set of box springs were purchased to correct the issue you experienced in this room. Additionally, 78 of our beds in our Courtyard by Marriott hotel are being replaced at the end of May 2011 with a Sealy Posturpedic Ultra Plush bed with all new Marriott bedding. We are very excited for this update and hope you will be too!

This Courtyard has gone thru a major re-model but has missed the mark completely in 2 key areas: room heating/air conditioning and mattress quality. I like the new Courtyard interior style, very cheerful and modern. But I hate the old-style room temperature units in the room. You either have to turn off any air circulation or you have to leave the fan running all the time and it is very noisy. The more upscale and better hotels have central air and heating.
This Courtyard had those units in each room that are are vented from each room to the outside like cheaper and older hotels and most motels. We had to leave the fan on all night to have air circulation. It's the kind of droning noise that makes you feel tired the nezt day.

The mattress of the king size bed was ridiculously worn out. We both had trouble keeping from rolling into the middle of the bed. It was the worst mattress I had ever experienced at a Marriott or for that matter, any hotel. It was also lumpy.

1 star for sleep quality which tarnished an otherwise A-OK experience.

Too bad...the service was very nice and the remodel makes the hotel very spiffed up.

Stayed here for a conference that we had in the hotel. The site is newly renovated, and looks great. The service was great from the front desk, to the bistro to order drinks and breakfast. The rooms are standard Courtyard, nothing terribly exciting about them, a king size bed with a sofa, flat screen TV, and a work station. The only thing I really wish the Courtyard would do and that is upgrade on the shower heads..sounds silly but I have stayed in 3 different courtyards this week and each one was different with different water pressure.

Overall this was a great hotel and I would differently stay here again.

Based upon other reviews, we elected to stay at Courtyard Tigard based upon high value for the weekend rate. We were correct. The only downside is that the beds/pillows have not been updated (or if they have, the mattresses are poor quality). Therefore, I give a low rating for sleep quality. The hotel is quiet. Rooms are exceptionally clean. All staff were terrific and helpful. The fitness room machines are newer and in good working condition, along with modern free weights. We chose not to eat breakfast, opting instead to walk 25 yards to the Starbucks next door each morning. You can't beat the location both for shopping and restaurants at Bridgeport Village and as a jumping off point for the Oregon wine country. When the beds get updated, I'll consider staying here again.

This Marriott Courtyard has been updated and is really modern and comfortable. Helpful front desk staff gave good restaurant suggestions and directions. Walking distance to John Barleycorn's for good food & beer. Great running in the neighborhood.

conveniently located right off the highway exit. A very clean inside outside hotel. Most of the staff were very nice with the exception of a couple of snooty ones. The bed was not to my only liking. It sank towards the middle.
5 minutes drive to super markets, Costco, and a few restaurants.
Very clean rooms.
My only complaint is housekeeping knocked on our door very early in the morning to wake us up so they can clean the room. We know what time check out is, there is no need to knock at 8am. We have kids sleeping. I want to get a more rest for the long drive home.
There are 3 computer stations with a colour printer.
Our kids enjoyed the pool and gym.
I would definitely stay at this place again.
