My husband and I travelled from Portland for the day and ended up staying the night, the hotel we stayed at recommended Koko's to us as the "better than any restaurant in Portland" A) it is difficult to locate on an unkept road jutting off Hwy 101 with very little signage. B) The highlight is that the place is gorgeous!! Whoever built it spared no expense. White linen table clothes, nice table presentation and unique menu design. C) the food, food was good, but doesn't match menu on website, wasn't too badly priced considering you get bread and salad with your entree. D) And then the service, well the service was not what you would expect at a place like this, on a Saturday night you would think they would have enough staff at least, not only was it slow but chaotic, coming from a restaurant background I could see it was clearly a mismanagement issue. They were trying hard but failed, perhaps it is better when slow? I wouldn't recommend Koko's as "better than any restaurant in Portland" maybe in Tillamook, though it is easy to compete with seedy bars and fast food!

Koko's is a delightful restaurant located on Alderbrook Golf course. We have only enjoyed lunches there, but have been more than satisfied with our food. The building itself is a feast for the eyes. Unique copper downspouts, lovely art work, and woodwork all add to the Northwest atmosphere. The lunch menu is quite diverse. The cheddar potato soup is wonderful. All the waiters and waitresses that have served us are charming. We look forward to have a dinner meal sometime soon.

Best pasta I've had in a long time. Everyone with us enjoyed their meals immensely. Salmon and chicken stuffed with crab. Our four year old had a hamburger and said it was excellent. He even went back and complimented the cook and was surprisingly rewarded with a free dish of ice cream. How great is this. Love the northwest and this place. Beautiful interior as well as views. A sure treasure. I can't wait to try it again.

The dinner began well, but the main course, salmon, came to the table prepared under cooked. The server was a sweet heart, but it seemed like she was intimated by the chefs (term used loosely). After 25 minutes waiting for the returned item to be completed and served to us, we had waited long enough. My husbands halibut was prepared very well, and he enjoyed that, but if your meal comes to you wrong, be prepared to have quite the wait.
