Despite my love for history, the outdated displays failed to connect. The bathrooms were dirty and would not recommend as a family event.

All the info about Oregon's timber industry is presented in an interesting and engaging manner. The film about the forest fires that occurred explained the danger of fighting fires and how damaging to the forests and how recovery happens.

This is a very cool place to visit. I'm a history and nature buff, so this place was right up my ally. Plus, my daughter had a blast. I'm from Vancouver, BC and I was staying at a nearby campsite and I had no idea that the Tillamook forest was a massive reforestation project. Very enlightening experience and humbling to see what they accomplished in 50 years.

This should be a day trip, it is no fee and out in forest on Wilson River. Place is just 10 years old and great for kids as lots of interactive displays inside. Has fire Watch tower, suspension bridge over the river, miles of walking trails and fascinating history of the forest fire 1933 that destroyed most of millions of acres of prime wood.
