Just returned from a week in Anguilla and we ate at 7 different restaurants. Veya is by far the best. Most of the restaurants on island are amateur hour. They suffer from poorly trained staff, slow service and inconsistent food. Veya is a professional place that is obvious from the moment you walk in. Beautiful structure, nice design and a fully staffed out restaurant. Great training. Most importantly the food was excellent. both Apps and Entrees. Didn't try dessert. Too full.
We had Conch fritters, Calamari, Shrimp Cigars, and raw conch. All excellent. My main dish was the Red Snapper which was large in size and the mashed potatoes and excellent companion. We also had the duck, ribeye and shrimp. Again very consistent and good. The prices are only slightly higher but well worth it.
