“OK hotel with an eerie feel”
Reviewed 30 January 2013

Cons:
Rooms and lobby smell. 75 percent of the rooms have a particularly strong odor, enough to make me concerned about my belongings and fear of it not being able to be removed.
The smell stemmed from any one of the following causes: animals, paint, asbestos or some other chemical. It is an older building.
It is hard to find. You have to take this little side street way, way down in order to find it.
The type of people who stay here made me uneasy. I don’t know why because it is not the worst hotel in the world, so I think it’s the location.
Pros:
Rooms get extra warm with the heat, but you can open a large glass door to an area which feels private (we are way out on this side street with not much around).
Rooms are nicely furnished, albeit in a bad smell of sorts. The furniture is comfortable and the rooms are a nice size.
Outdoor architecture is this nice log cabin tree house look to it.
I definitely would never come back here. The smell obviously wouldn’t make it worth it, plus it has kind of an eerie bad feel to it that I couldn’t shake.

I am giving it three stars because I didn't have a bad experience but I would NEVER come back .

Room Tip: One side of the hotel overlooks this nice private pasture area and the other side looks at the freew...

I stay here weekly for business. These are very nice rooms. The service is good. The breakfast is standard for the chain.

If you're a business traveler who needs to touch-up wrinkled shirts, you'll find the iron tethered to the iron holder which is bracketed to the back-end of the ironing board rendering that part of the board useless. Presumably an anti-theft solution, it's almost as amusing as it is annoying. Who ever conceived this solution, never ironed a dress shirt.

This motel is located in a very scenic setting with a numbe of trees that really give one feeling of being in the Northwest. The building is old but has been nicely updated. The hallway is very open and the rooms are quite large. The staff was very friendly and I thought the stay was an excellent value.

We have stayed in worse places than the Quality Inn in Wilsonville, and if you have a pet and get a good bargain - well - it may be value for the money. We liked the King size bed and the lawn area immediatly outside - we had our dog with us. But the room was narrow and rather dark, a little "stuffy, and without an adequate seating area. The real deal breaker for us was the very loud birthday party that rented the convention center - really just a large meeting room adjacent to the fitness center. We feel that renting that space to a late-night party is not compatible with renting nearby rooms. Sleep was not an option until after midnight. I don't know how often this occurs - but buyer beware!

Room Tip: Make sure your room is as far away from the convention center/meeting room as possible to avoid late...

My wife and I visit Wilsonville on a frequent basis, though staying at Quality Inn only recently. Our experience with the staff has been pleasant. The rooms are clean and the beds comfortable and shall be enjoyed by the weary traveler. Front desk staff have been courteous and Mr. Yu has a pleasant welcoming greeting upon arrival. He was our first contact with the staff here and I enjoyed his pleasant demeanor. The girls on the front desk at other times during the day have been pleasant and courteous in their duties and dealings with us.
The breakfast, for those wishing to do so will get your day started off well if you like little sausages, tater tots, and biscuits with gravy. They also have yogurt and boiled eggs. The coffee is a good start too. There are other breads and rolls if bicuits do not appeal to you.
We enjoy Quality Inn and its staff and what it offers us at a very reasonable price and will be staying there again.

Room Tip: Do not hesitate to ask for the building of your choice. We first stayed in the building to the left...

Got in at 1am and had a very nice check in. I had called ahead that AM to advise my late arrival time into Portland then the 30-40 minute drive south. A great choice as I was out of Portland traffic when continuing on in the morning. Room was nice and huge. Bed was comfy with nice pillows. No plastics on mine like another reviewer mentioned. Bathroom was small and you had to get in and close the door to sit on the toilet but all was clean and I was not buying the place, just stopping for a night. Excersize room (24 hours) was separate and clean and everything worked well. Didn't use the pool, but others were. Nice surrounding property. Included breakfast had adequate choices. Felt very comfortable here traveling as a woman alone.
