We stayed in the main inn (the property also includes many individual cabins that cost more per night). The staff was friendly, and included breakfast was great, especially the fresh fruit & scones. Enjoyed the ocean view, especially from the exercise room. However, our room had no air conditioning, just heat, so we had to sleep with the sliding door open and listen to the waves crashing in all night which was fine for us. A few other nits were the cheap springy mattress and the shower temperature was unstable. At the inn has grown, it appears that walls were added around the central rooms, elevator, and spa area, but most of the rooms still have entrances from an exterior hall (personally we prefer hotel-style interior hallways but no big deal). Front desk/lobby area is closed at night.

From check-in to check out - a perfect stay at the Overleaf. Warm, inviting lobby filled with local art. Friendly and efficient check-in. Room was very spacious, clean, well-appointed with nice furniture and a large double-sink bathroom vanity. A wet bar sink, micro and fridge plus plenty of storage allowed f or a comfy stay. The continental breakfast was well-presented and included a wide variety items all kept fresh and replenished. What a great place - would definitely return to the Overleaf again.

Our room had an astonishing view. The surf was pounding on rocks about 25 feet from our window, incredible fountains of spray kept us glued to the window...then came the sunsets. Spectacular. The room was very spacious and comfortable. Lodge has all the amenities. We stayed an extra night and loved every minute. There's a nice little oceanside trail right outside the door too.

We stayed at the Overleaf Lodge on the coast of Oregon for one night in early May after visiting our son at UO in Eugene. We loved our experience from the moment we were welcomed in their low-key lobby and gazed on the waves crashing on the rocks just outside the french doors.

Our second-floor room was lovely -- large enough, comfortable, with a fireplace and a beautiful balcony overlooking the same rocks and crashing waves. The view was simply spectacular. Spa treatments were pleasant, and the jacuzzi in the spa overlooked the same crashing waves (although it could have been hotter for our tastes.) Finally, the breakfast included with the room rate was wonderful as well, with outstanding house-made sweets, oatmeal, granola, eggs, etc. as well as good strong coffee.

All in all, we found our one night here all too short and hope to return for a longer stay in the future.

Situated right on the shore, the ocean view rooms provide as close a panorama as possible without actually getting wet. The view of the hills is lovely too. The only drawback to any length of stay is there's no restaurant and not much choice downtown either.

Thanks for staying with us and taking time to write a nice review. We value our overseas guests just as much as our continental guests. On your only constructive note: considering that the town’s population is under 800, Yachats historically has had a plethora of dining options. There are still 8 restaurants/cafes/diners in town even though the restaurant that was formally LaSerre recently closed down. I understand that a new operator may come in soon. Thank you again and we hope you will stay with us again the next time you travel to the USA’s left coast! Drew Roslund, Owner’s representative 541-330-1286 drew@overleaflodge.com
