Upon arrival we had fresh coffee and scones with amazing views of the Pacific Ocean! Suggest a room with a balcony on the second or third level to listen to the crashing waves. Clean, spacious king room with Aveda products. Spa amenities were a nice inclusion including jetted small pool and steam room. Front desk staff was very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was included which was very tasty. We brought it back to our room to eat on the balcony. Convenient hikes to the ocean. Suggest restaurant in town Ona, great happy hour specials including food! Overall great experience and highly suggest this hotel!

We were in Yachats,Oregon in July for 2 nights. Overleaf is right on the beach, which is pretty rocky, but there is a trail you can walk for miles. The grounds are very manicured and even though it was very windy those 2 days, part of the trails were covered with arched trees you could walk through, so it made a wind break. The hotel reminds me a little of a Colorado ski lodge. The reception area is very open and basic and one area is set up for breakfast, which is included in the price. I enjoyed the breakfast each morning, there was always something different on the buffet. In the evening there's always a mound of warm cookies or muffins waiting for you in the lobby. Our room was a nice size. The furniture was nice but basic and the bed was very firm, which we prefer. We had a fireplace and all of the rooms have a small area by the bathroom, which has a small refrigerator, sink, cabinets, etc. There were 2 double sinks outside of the bathroom and the bathtub/shower and toilet were in a room together. I liked the sinks outside so I could get my hair and makeup done, while he showered. The closet is right at the front entrance and was a walk-in with a bench. Some of the rooms had sunken bathtubs set next to the wall looking over the ocean, which were booked by the time we made reservations. There's no air conditioning in this place, which was a small problem. All of the rooms face the ocean, however, our room faced south and our balcony had a wall, blocking the wind coming from the ocean. It was extremely hot until we saw a vent above our front door. We opened the vent and opened our patio doors and was lulled to sleep by the sounds of the waves crashing into the rocks. I tried to booked the spa, ranked in the top 25. It was completely booked. I did go to their exercise room. It's tiny, smaller than our room, so don't expect much. This town is very small but close to the Yaquina Lighthouse, sea lion caves and Heceta Head Lighthouse. There is also crabbing and clamming in Waldport, an aquarium and a marine science center all close in nearby towns. Yachats is probably only 6 city blocks and is nothing but door to door restaurants and lodging, with a few gift shops thrown in the middle. They're's Asian to Italian and anything else you can think of to eat. Overall Overleaf fulfilled all of our needs. The only thing missing ,was an on site restaurant in the lodge. I would have loved to order room service and sit out on our balcony sipping a glass of wine in the evening without having to go out for dinner.

Room Tip: I wouldn't suggest rooms facing south when it's hot. I would suggest the sunken bathtub, if...

Green Features: Overall, the staff is friendly, check in and out was easy. There's no doorman so you will take your luggage to your room, thank God there's an elevator.

Fell in love with this town. Didn't have reservations but ended up at the Overleaf Lodge. The staff is so friendly, Joni really took good care of us. The lobby is decorated beautifully. The room was very clean and comfortable. We had a ground level room with a walk out patio. The view was spectacular! Yes, it's a bit more expensive than the other places in town but it was worth it. The breakfast is much more than a free breakfast buffet, it was delicious and very well done. Highly recommend!!

A little pricey but well worth it. The Overleaf Lodge has one of the best locations on the Oregon Coast with incredible views of the Pacific Ocean. Each room comes with an ocean view and the hotel has prime waterfront access. The Spa in the hotel is also great offering ocean views from its hot tub and soaking pool. The breakfast served in the morning is fantastic with high quality food made in their kitchen. The rooms and service show a very high attention to detail not found in a lot of places. Oh and make sure you see catch a sunset while there. I would highly recommend this hotel to everyone.

Room Tip: Best ocean views are from the center of the hotel.

Yes, all rooms in the lodge are oceanfront, giving everyone a front row seat to spectacular sunset viewing. This is the second time we have stayed at Overleaf Lodge. We again stayed in an Inglenook room with a king bed, fireplace, and balcony. We absolutely loved our stay. Everyone is so nice and helpful here. We love using the spa, and the breakfast buffet is wonderful, and includes lots of fresh fruit. This morning they had a mushroom asparagus quiche, and when I asked for just regular eggs, they were more than willing to accommodate me. The weather was great, we spent a lot of time walking on the beach. The views are wonderful. This place is a little out of my price range, but to me worth every penny. I am already planning my next trip!

Thank you for returning to us for your “absolutely wonderful” second stay. Our Inglenook rooms are very popular. Some of them have balconies and some have large picture windows. Our friendly front desk staff is available to answer any questions about room types and features. As you mentioned in your review, our breakfast staff is always willing to accommodate food restrictions/sensitivities. Thank you for the wonderful review.

We had a Whale Watcher room, nice sideways view of rocks and waves. Room simple but very roomy, fridge, microwave, double sinks, very clean and new furnishings throughout hotel. Two big upholstered chairs in the room. Nice desk staff, nice area.

Beautiful venue. Loved the view from our room & the fireplace too. Coming from AZ we thought a fireplace was fru-fru but we had it on for a while upon arrival to take the chill out of the air! Wish we could have enjoyed the balcony but the wind was whipping and for a day in July it was quite cool. Nice breakfast. Enjoyed the home made granola with yogurt. Refreshing
