This was our second stay at Overleaf Lodge. All rooms are oceanfront and many with balconies or patios. We prefer an upper floor with a balcony. The breakfast is home cooked and varies each morning. It is delicious especially because it is not the standard , boring complimentary breakfast. most other places offer. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We will always stay there when spending a few days on the Oregon coast.

CathyArizona, Thank you to one of our many returning guests. I am very pleased that you enjoyed your previous visit so that you returned. As you noted, we work hard to provide a dynamic and varied breakfast. While it does contain some standard faire every morning, we always provide some unique dishes so that even those who stay for a week or longer do not get bored with breakfast. We look forward to your third visit and we will do our best to get you one of those upper floor rooms with a balcony!
Thank you very much,

We had a grand time staying at the Overleaf and enjoying time at the spa! An excellent girls-weekend away spent with cucumbers on our eyes, soaking in the spa and enjoying the view (when our eyes weren't covered by cucumbers ;-) ) Robin in the spa was outstanding and the whole staff was very friendly and helpful!!! Lisa, the assistant manager went above and beyond to make sure our weekend was top notch...and it was!! I'm definitely coming back with my husband!

At our request the front desk staff recommended the nicest room availalble in our price range. The view was spectacular, right on the ocean front. The room was exceptionally clean and nicely furnished; fixtures were in excellent condition. The hotel will change all the linens daily if you wish - though they suggest that is not the best for the environment. We were on ground floor and heard only a little noise from above - it was drowned out by the sound of the waves, wind and rain. We saw whales and seals and lots of crashing waves. Only negative is that although there is a bar kitchen with a microwave and bar type sink there are no dishes - except coffee maker and cups/glasses. We didn't request any but expect that they would be provided if we had.
They provide a buffet breakfast in the beautiful lobby and we were able to take ours back to the room on trays so we could eat it in front of the window and look at the view.
You do pay for the luxury accomodations, but we had chosen the lowest end of the price range and felt that it was not unreasonable and not as expensive as other places appeared to be. We didn't use the spa facilities or services. No time and not really our thing.
There are good restaurants nearby - we went to Adobe and Heidi's.

wow- we stayed in room 303- very quiet with a beautiful view of spouting rocks at the beach. we did not have a balcony but with giant picture window and another side window that opened we did not need it. from start to finish we were so pleased.
they asked were we were from and said "it was a priviledge" to have us! then offered a free 30 minute chair massage in the front lobby. the room was clean and spacious. special amenities from aveeda. we then at night used the free spa tub which had the best jets i have ever experienced and super clean. two jacuzzis overlooking the water with a choice of temperatures. the salon appointeee then overed us a cold lemon water drink while we soaked. then given plush bathrobes to return to our room in. now for the breakfast........unbelievable! 4 star selections of everything to steel cut oatmeal, cinnamon buns to die for, and anything you could possible want in a comfortable surrounding overlooking the water. great wood sculptures and finishing touches through out the property. we then took a walk on a small gravel path down by the water to explore and found some agates. dont miss this place on your way down the coast. we are allergic to pets and it being no pets was a perk and so they have a sister hotel that is pet-friendly next door. and dont miss the Luna fish house downtown for the most incredible fish you will ever have

Everything about this beachfront hotel conveys a message of quality - and the attention to detail can be seen in lots of small touches as much as in the overall standard of operation. With the Pacific ocean crashing on to the rocks just in front of your room, the setting is just perfect, and being able to watch whales from the balcony of our room was an incredible experience. The buffet breakfast operates really efficiently, and is very appetising. The spa is a welcome feature, and it's a great place for chilling out after a day spent exploring the coast.

This was the perfect stay for us. We took a queen/queen upper room and were not disappointed! The waves crashing over the rocks was right outside of our window and it was enchanting. It was relaxing and perfect in every way. The nice morning breakfast was an added bonus.

Thank you for your kind comments - we are glad everything was 'perfect.' This is a great time of the year to visit the Overleaf Lodge as the waves tend to me more active - due to storms off the coast - and the 'front row view' from the oceanfront rooms adds to the 'enchanting' drama of the surf! And if you want, you can take your breakfast up to your room so you can dine with that great ocean view which is even better from the second and third floor rooms than it is from the lobby! I hope you can visit us soon for another 'relaxing and perfect' stay!
Thank you!

The purpose of our trip was relaxation and togetherness and this certainly fit the bill. The staff and cleanliness were second to none. This is the trip to take if you want peace and quiet in a natural setting. Stay away if you're here for the nightlife. Things close down early which may be bad for some people but its just want we needed. Thank you Overleaf!

Thank you for the complimentary review. Yes, Yachats is a quiet, relaxing community. And the Overleaf Lodge thoroughly complements that sensation. Just settle in, relax, rejuvenate, and enjoy the peace. However, if you do want a little bit of nightlife, the Drift Inn Pub in Yachats usually has live music every evening starting at 7:00. Sometimes is it quite mellow, but oftentimes it is lively Rock or Contemporary. So there are options available. But if you want to completely escape from the normal hectic and stressful daily schedule you can just stay at the Lodge and no one will bother you!
Thanks again,
