“More comfortable than my own home!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 July 2014

We were absolutely delighted with our stay at Ambrosia B&B. It was the most calm and relaxed place we have ever stayed in. The room and the house is wonderfully decorated making a homely, cosy feel and the garden is beautifully maintained. Mary was exceptionally welcoming and took the time to advise us of the local nature stops which we could squeeze into our short stay. The bedroom had ocean views, at night we slept to the sounds of frogs croaking and the sea rolling. We also watched the humming birds in the garden (being from the UK this is unusual for us) and bats flying overheard at dusk. My boyfriend said it was the best nights sleep he has ever had in life. We just wish we could have stayed longer than a night. We look forward to staying again the next time we visit the Pacific Northwest.

It is with great pleasure that we share our little piece of heaven with travelers, especially when they are as sweet as you two. And thrilled that the humming birds appeared in time for you to enjoy them.
Thanks again.

Regrettably we only had one night here - we'd like to have stayed longer. It is a beautiful, remote location by the coast, with great walking nearby. The house, too, is lovely, and we couldn't have better looked after. The facilities were just fine, and the breakfast set us up for the day. The advance info that Mary sent was most useful. Our thanks to Mary and Will.

Went to Ambrosia Gardens for a romantic birthday getaway. Then room was very clean and cozy. The view of the Ocean was spectacular. Soaking in the hot tub at the end of the day sipping hot tea capped off a memorable day. Being we were the only tenants that night, they were very flexible with the breakfast hour.

Thank you for the kind review. Sorry I wasn't able to meet you. Will graciously filled in for me while I had a wonderful visit with my daughter & family on the East Coast. Glad we were able to make Delores' Birthday Celebration special.

This is a wonderful, relaxing bed and breakfast! The view from our room was amazing- overlooked the pacific ocean along with the beautiful sound of the waves. We enjoyed a relaxing soak in the outdoor jacuzzi that sits in the beautiful gardens while sipping a glass of wine and gazing at the pacific. It is located about 10 minutes south of Yachats on a beautiful area of the coastline with access to the beach and a short drive to some great hiking trails. We decided to stay an extra night here because it was so peaceful and serene. Mary is a very sweet woman and I would definitely recommend staying here!

I cannot say enough about the view from our room and the sound of the ocean. Beautiful property and Mary is so attentive. Yachats is a sweet town with just enough to do. Mary is flexible for when you may eat breakfast. Very nice especially if you want to sleep in. My breakfast, however, left much to be desired. The frittata and the omelet were almost alike in the bland flavor even though ingredients were fresh. The fruit bowl was smaller than a European serving. The bread for toast was rather boring. Check out a good bakery please. If i had not expected gourmet, it would have been different. Let's kick the cooking up a notch and cook something that does not require those little round pans. At a Bed & Breakfast, a comfortable bed and a stellar breakfast is important. The bed passed, breakfast did not.

I stayed here one night in August while traveling up the coast. Mary has a very nice home situated on a hill overlooking the ocean. You can see and hear the ocean from your room or while walking through her gorgeous gardens. You can also walk down to the beach for the sunset. Mary was attentive and very helpful with suggestions on local sites. My room was clean and comfortable. Mary served a great breakfast and she asked if I had food allergies or dietary requirements. Yachats is a very cute town with a good selection of restaurants and nearby hiking trails. Mary's home is a short drive into town and definitely worth a visit! I will stay here again if I make it back to the area.

This relaxing, and beautiful Bed and Breakfast is on the Central Coast of Oregon allowing the visitor the ability to spend the day in North, Central or South coastal areas and returning to a relaxing haven at the end of the day. We booked our room with a fantastic view of the ocean and a private bath. With a comfortable and well appointed room we slept soundly each night, awakening to the wonderful smells of breakfasts that were cooked to perfection: 3 course meals that consisted of fresh fruit salad made of local seasonal fruits, freshly baked scones or muffins and a daily entree that changes or repeats depending on the creative desires of the chef/owner Mary or the requests of the diners. Ever attentive to her clients, Mary mails them the attractions of the area before they arrive and caters with care to each persons dietary needs and beverage preferences, asking discreetly before and upon arrival. (I am allergic to milk and she ensured that my meals did not contain that ingredient) Mary is a warm and generous host, that while being welcoming and informative is not invasive to those who do not wish to visit. She has decorated the B&B in a comfortable, homely style and ensures that in the evening that hot or cold tea is available. Prices are an extraordinary value, the meals delicicious and the rooms are delightful. Definitely a must if you stay in this area. (The garden, a delightful piece of art created by Mary surrounds this custom B&B which was also designed by her)

Room Tip: We like privacy and our own bath, so requested this when reserving our room.

Mari,
Thank you for taking the time to write a review. It was wonderful having you & Bruce as guests. We are pleased you enjoyed your stay as much as we enjoyed you as guests. It was also a treat to share our mutual Indiana & Michigan histories.
Thanks again,
