We stayed in a King Oceanview Suite w/fireplace, but I found the Fireside Inn dirty and outdated. The pictures were not a true representation. The view however, was amazing. That was the only thing that was as represented. Yes, it is dog-friendly but I have stayed in many places that allow dogs that were much cleaner and nicer than this.

We are glad you enjoyed your view here at the Fireside. I'm sorry that we did not live up to your expectations when it came to the room. Our virtual tour on the website was done prior to us upgrading some of the room features. We have new furniture in many of our rooms, new wall coverings and duvet and duvet covers. We appreciate you taking the time to review us.

We spent one night there during our trip . we had a long day driving and finally got there. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We rented 3 rooms. All rooms were clean and comfortable. Motel has AAA discount. Even, we did not rent oceanfront rooms, it was a few meters from the ocean. In the morning we went to the beach- a lot of starfishes. I we go to the Oregon, will stay again. i found this mother on TripAdvisor and would highly recommend to others.

One night never seems to be enough for many of our guests, I certainly hope you are able to come back and do some more exploring of our area. Thank you for the wonderful review and we are happy you enjoyed your stay. We do honor both AAA and AARP for guests which does provide a ten percent discount on rooms (not valid during holidays and special events). We will see you on your next trip to Oregon!

We recently spent 2 nights at the Fireside. We rented one of the oceanfront fireplace rooms on the 2nd floor. It was clean, had a comfy bed and couch, with a table with two chairs, and a great view of the ocean. The fireplace worked fine, though it wasn't really needed. My only gripe is the TV reception was poor, considering it was cable. Maybe because it's an old style set, I don't know. The room has a small balcony to sit on to watch the ocean pound the rocks. The 804 trail meanders by the motel and there are several benches in the area. Unfortunately, I came down with food poisoning from a local Yachats restaurant (I presume) and was stuck in the room all day on Sunday. By checkout on Monday I was still ill and we moved to a cheaper non-oceanfront room, but decided to leave after a few hours. Management was kind enough to not even charge for the extra room, even though we sat on the beds (and forgot a couple of items in the fridge). Kudos to them for such a wonderful act. We plan to return.

After a long day of driving along the Coastal Highway, we were looking for a nice, quiet, decent place to stay that was reasonably priced. We found the Fireside Motel listed in our AAA app and on Trip Advisor, called and they had room available. The room was modest and comfortable and the staff were quite friendly. There is a nice little gift shop that also doubles as reception and a continental breakfast. Of all the places I've ever stayed, this must have had some of the nicest natural views and scenery right off the back porch of any. A bit chilly to eat outside, but did anyway to enjoy the view. If ever back in this area, would definitely stop back in as it's a wonderful place along a nice stretch of the coast.

Thank you for your wonderful review! We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay with us, and would love for you to come back when you are in the area. You are certainly correct, our views are definitely some of the most beautiful along the Oregon Coast line. We look forward to seeing you again!

We had made reservations for the Fireside Inn one year ago while driving up the coast to visit with our kids prlor to the arrival of their first born. While amere 50 miles down the coast, we got the "call" that labor had begun and we only had hours to get to the hospital, which was in Vancouver, Washington. We made it in time (it was a beautiful boy), but were sad that we had to cancel our stay at the Fireside Inn. Well, we drove up again this year for baby's 1st birthday, and made it a point to stay at the Fireside Inn this time! It was a very very nice room, very spacious and comfortable and the view of the cliffs and sea were spectacular! There's a nice path between the Inn and the cliffs that ran along the backside of al of the hotels in the area. Very similar to Cambria,California (for those of you who are familiar with it). A light fog, chilly morning with jacket and a hot cup of coffee was just perfect for our walk. The Inn staff were very nice and accommodating. The only thing that we found disappointing was that they didn't have a restaurant...but that was not a problem as there were a couple of restaurants within a quarter mile down the road (3 minutes). The grounds were very clean and just overall a lovely place to stay. We're so glad we finally made it to the Fireside Inn in Yachats, Oregon!

Room Tip: Be sure to pay a little extra to get an oceanfront room. It's definitely worth it.

We stayed here one night during a trip up the Oregon coast. We had a "northview" room (i.e., non-oceanview), but we could still see and hear the waves crashing on the shore (less than 100 feet from our window. The shoreline trail, rocky shoreline, sandy coves, and tide pools were all just a few steps away. The room was clean and comfortable, the rate included a continental breakfast (which we weren't expecting). And the price was VERY reasonable. We will be back!

Room Tip: We were in room 16 (1 queen bed, 2nd floor).

Thank you for such a fantastic review, we are pleased we could provide the "best night of your trip". Many guests are surprised when they arrive and our "non-view" rooms are so close to the ocean. Our continental breakfast has been a great addition for our guests since we started it about a year ago. We appreciate you taking the time to review us and hope you will be back down to see us soon!

Right on the amazing Oregon coast with breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean. We had a small issue with billing and they bent over backwards to make it right for us. The management is far superior to most. The facility was clean (unlike most coastal properties) and people were very good to answer all of our questions. They made us feel like home while we were away from home. You will not be disappointed, and I don't think you will find a better value on the water.
