This is a small, but quaint, little motel. It's exceedingly clean and charming. The older 4 rooms are all decorated differently. The deck in front of the upper rooms provides a fabulous view of the bay. We have stayed there during all seasons and have never been disappointed. The newer rooms below provide all the modern conveniences and are also great. The motel is family owned, the manager(s) have all been welcoming, helpful and a delight to get to know. We love Yachats, with fine dining just across the street. Don't miss the Green Salmon for the best organic coffee anywhere.

Room Tip: They are all great.

My husband and I were heading home to the Seattle area after a 3 week road trip.....I booked Ocean Cove Inn based on reviews on TA and was very satisfied. I too agree that it is a perfect stopover or potential stay for a few days. Clean, neat and well decorated - it seems to be lovingly cared for - with a drop dead view! Claudia's flowers and edible table garden were lovely to look at although it was too blustery to enjoy sitting outside. We were given suggestions for dinner and breakfast the next morning - checked out menus and enjoyed eating at ONA, most upscale of the ones we visited - and had a nice seafood dinner, especially good clam chowder; breakfast in the a.m. was at the coffee shop next door - do have the cereal and a bakery treat with your cafe latte! :-) Yachats is a funky beach town, sort of the grownup hippies from the 1960's!! I loved it.

Room Tip: All photos are accurate...you can't make a bad choice!

Had checked reviews before booking this inn, and they were right on! Claudia was so welcoming, with good restaurant recommendations - and walking directions to everything. (And, everything important is within walking distance. I have already recommended this to another B&B host up the coast - and to family. Hope I have the opportunity to travel to Oregon again - and this will be on my list of places to stay.

My husband and I have just returned from a 2 1/2 week trip from Seattle to Las Vegas. Travelling down the hw 101 and 1. We stopped several times overnight travelling through Oregan.
What a lovely, homely place the Ocean Cove Inn is. Claudia made us feel very welcome. She showed us several of the rooms to see which one we preferred. Every room was different, comfy and clean.
The grounds are wonderful. Full of tubs of flowers, and the view gorgeous.
I would not hesitate to stay again in this home from home Inn.

I booked an 18 day road trip in the states through Trip advisor so feel i should report back to help others make informed choices about where they should stay or where not to stay...which is probably MORE important!
I stayed in the "Driftwood" room for my 1st 3 days 'alone' in the States. The room itself had king-size bed (really comfy) and had a lovely boutiquey type theme - it also has a small kitchenette which was really useful with everything you need. The ensuite bath/shower was great! It was ALL spotlessly clean and fresh. I had peek through the windows of all rooms on my level and I would have been pleased to stay in any of them, the whole inn is really well maintained.
Yachats is a great little coastal town, not commercialized, small and friendly (apparently according to a travel writer ...one of the top places to visit in the world? I'm not sure about that..but then again i can see where he was coming from! ) The Ocean Cove Inn is centrally located to everything in town in fact is a few steps from every thing - The Ocean- excellent Restaurants/Pubs - Supermarket and Bank etc all in a picturesque bundle with room to breathe.

I ate at the Drift inn - great welcoming inn with umbrellas all over the ceiling! Music, great atmosphere and food (recommended). Also got Takeaway from the Luna sea fish house (it looks like it should be featured on Tv's 'Diners and dives') but it was always full with customers and the food was "quite possibly the best takeaway i've ever had!"

If you're planning a road trip or just passing by i found great quality, great value, great atmosphere and fond memories in Yachats. I would recommend the Ocean cove inn as a place to stay...it was lovely and i wish the owners every success.
Would i stay here again? Yes definitely!

'Haven't stayed in a room this clean since traveling in Austria! Absolutely spotless! The room was well-furnished, the manager extremely friendly, and the view spectacular, even if it was raining. This is one of those quaint little inns that look nice from the outside, great from the inside, and leave a lasting impression of excellent value. Wish I could have stayed longer!

Ocean Cove Inn has 8 rooms that are themed and named. I stayed in the "Driftwood" room. First, the hosts, Charlie & Claudia are salt of the earth people. They were wonderful and it obvious by how clean and maintained the hotel was, that they really love to serve. The room itself had king-size bed and was done in a red-quilt/country theme. The essentials -- a good bed, excellent shower and spotlessly clean room. Yachats is a great little coastal town and Ocean Cove eInn was centrally located to everything in town. You could walk to some great restaurants, a candy store, a grocery store and a hardware store. Town closes up early though. The value was great, price was fair. I would stay there again and would also plan my trip to time it so another stay at the Ocean Cove Inn was on my itinerary. It had all of the room amenities of a larger hotel, more expensive hotel. Check out their excellent web site but keep in mind that the reality far exceeds the web presentation.

Room Tip: Toss the dice -- all the rooms are excellent
