“Warm, Friendly, and a Great Value”
Reviewed 23 August 2014

We were given a recommendation to stay at the Yachats Inn, and I'm so glad we did! The room we stayed in, although small and cozy, had a charm in its outdatedness. When I made the reservation I told the hostess that we had 3 children, so she made sure we had 2 queen beds as well as a camp pad for our youngest to sleep on. Our children loved this place! They said it felt like a cabin. On our trip down the coast we stayed at a variety of hotels and Inns, many 4 and 5 stars, but they still say this is their favorite. The desk staff was so friendly and helpful. They even put our wet beach clothes in their dryer and made sure we had plenty of pillows and blankets for our beds. We can't wait to go back again!!!

Room Tip: Ask for an ocean view room

Unfortunately we were only able to stay for a night, and we booked the "luxury" suite since it was the last one available. It had more amenities than we needed (toaster, fridge, dishes), but I can imagine it would be a great place for an extended stay. We could see the ocean out the back window even though our suite was farther away than the other rooms.

The hotel is right outside of Yachat's main shopping area, so you're close to a couple restaurants, a market, and a cute little drive-thru coffee shop.

One con is that I couldn't get good internet signal (and that may be a pro for some!), and the hotel's wifi was sketchy at best. It seemed like everyone was running off a single router.

Room Tip: Pick an upstairs room if you can. You may hear your neighbors otherwise.

Wonderful visit. We have stayed here frequently over the last 7 or 8 years. It is located directly on the beautiful Oregon coast. Every room has a porch and direct, close up view of the ocean. It has a swimming pool and hot tub. The owners and staff are incredibly nice and helpful. It is the best dog friendly hotel or motel we've ever found. Its rates are very reasonable. And the town of Yachats is charming.

We stayed here for one night while driving down the coastline. The hotel is comfortable, and the staff was very helpful and accommodating. One note...this hotel is pet friendly, and dogs from a neighboring room began barking at 6:00 AM! We enjoyed the shared kitchen facilities, the pool and the hot tub...but could barely pull ourselves away from the beautiful views of the Pacific...available from every room! It was such a pleasure to stay in a "one of a kind" inn rather than another mass marketed hotel. The sound of the sea lulled us to sleep, but only after we watched the magnificent sunset from our patio. There is a large grassy area leading to a path that follows the water, and the effect is one of careful maintenance and simple, natural beauty. We hated to leave the next day!

Room Tip: Ocean view rooms are incredible!

What a great find! May be a little older but couldn't have been more comfortable. The room was very good size with big sliding door and overlooking the ocean. Comfortable bed and very quiet room. And the plus was a lovely indoor pool with spa overlooking the ocean.

The room was nice decorated and clean, bonus was the possibility to go to the swimming pool. But the best thing for us was the location and surroundings of the Inn. It lies by the sea, you can go for a walk along the coast... There is grass all over the place, so you can walk from your room to the terrace and one step further, you are on the grass. I think it is awesome for kids to play...(also for adults ;) ) I would definitely recommend this place.

Room Tip: I havent seen the other parts of the Inn, just our room, so I can not tell what is better/worse, but...

Had the whole family there from out of town, staff couldn't do enough to accommodate us. Any thing at all was never a problem, the staff was kind and helpful at every turn. Excellent accommodations, great views, close to the ocean and shopping. Tea house is amazing, housed our event easily, and is equipped with everything needed and more. Grounds were immaculate and charming with wonderful ponds on grounds. We will be back!!!
