A stay at The Chancellor's House sweeps you away to a bygone era. The home with its wrap-around porch is perfect while sitting in a rocking chair, enjoying the breeze, sipping a glass of wine and conversing with newfound friends. The furnishings are tastefully done and the home is impeccably clean. The preservation of the original architecture blends well with the upgrade of modern conveniences. The surrounding gardens are meticulously maintained by Lynn, while Steve attends to the historical aspects of the house. The location of The Chancellor's House is close to the shopping area and historic district of Bedford. A must stay if your plans ever include a visit to the Bedford area.

We stopped in Bedford for one night on our way to Fallingwater. What more can we say about The Chancellors House - a beautiful home in a historic town, wonderfully decorated, comfortable room and the most gracious hosts. If we didn't have somewhere to go we could have stayed and talked all day and night with Steve and Lynn. A great overall experience for our first time at a B&B. Will definitely stay again if ever in the area.

My husband and I LOVED our stay at the Chancellor’s House in Bedford, PA. It is charming, clean and the owners, Lynn and Steve, were absolutely wonderful! They truly make you feel at home. The area is GORGEOUS and there are a lot of interesting things to do and see. It is a quaint little town with covered bridges, bike trails, an award winning winery and much more. If you have any questions about the town or where to go or what to see, ask Lynn or Steve. They are very helpful and very hospitable. We plan on going back to the Chancellor’s House this summer for another romantic weekend getaway. This time with our bikes!

Beautiful B&B located right near downtown Bedford. Walking distance to many shops and restaurants and a short drive to other restaurants. The owners are friendly and accomodating. Wine and cheese before dinnner was an unexpected pleasure and the conversation with Lynn and Steve was very enjoyable. The breakfast was delicious. The rooms are very nicely decorated and the whole house has a very welcoming feeling. We would definetely recommend this B & B and hope to viist it again ourselves.

There is a lot we love about Bedford, PA. This town is special and worth your time to look into. There is a historic resort/spa, museums, restaurants, festivals, and even an award-winning winery. We find that each venue is extremely unique and special in its own way.

The Chancellor’s House is a B&B conveniently located in town and was recommended to us by the proprietors at several other places about town. We looked at the web site and thought it looked charming. The price was friendly and, after all, we had several recommendations to go on. We don’t usually stay at B&B’s, but we wanted to be in town in a place as quaint as the surroundings and near the restaurant we were travelling all that way just to have a special Italian dinner (just do it) at LifeStyle Store and Trattoria.

We have read all the reviews posted before ours and agree wholeheartedly with every word. The beds are a dream to sleep on, everything is just so, and you want nothing but to stay longer than you planned. The Chancellor’s House and property has a story all its own, the furnishings and art as well, and the owners are warm and gracious. We don’t know what to tell someone new to Bedford to do first out of the many things going on in the area, but staying at the Chancellor’s House is a must and very special indeed.

We ran across this B & B on the Internet while looking for a nice place to stay in Pennsylvania and decided to stay a few days. We could not have picked a more beautiful place. The Inn is immaculate and the rooms beautifully appointed with antiques, and the beds were very comfortable. The yard and gardens are also very well kept at this lovely brick Victorian Inn. The breakfasts are incredible and the table setting and china and Tiffany silverware is first class. The owners Lynn & Steve are very gracious hosts and we spent hours just talking and enjoying some wine and cheese on the porch. The town is very charming and has some good restaurants to dine at. The food at Bedford Springs Resort was very good along with dinner on Thursday at Lifestyle on Pitt Street. I would highly recommend this B & B and I do not believe you can find another that offers a finer stay. We definitely will be returning for future stays at this charming Inn.

We went to Bedford for the Fall Foliage Festival. The Chancellor's House was the perfect location for walking around historic Bedford. The owners, George and Lynn, were lovely, warm, friendly, helpful. They gave wonderful suggestions of where to eat, what to see, etc. Lynn's breakfast was delicious each morning. One of the evenings, George shared wine with us and gave us the history of the house and the town. The house is beautiful and immaculately kept. We had a great weekend that was made all the more memorable because of The Chancellor's House and its owners. It is truly a gem.
