“Bosses and ponderosa ”
Reviewed 30 August 2014 via mobile

Having never eaten at Boses we thought we would give it a go. As we entered we didn't know exactly what to expect but soon found out it was just like ponderosa or Golden Corral. We were not disappointed for the food was fresh and scallops were great along with a nice salad.

I would eat here again if traveling thru but again it's just like pon or corral.

“Stopped on our way to Ohio”
Reviewed 25 August 2014

We stopped for dinner on our way to Ohio. Not a big fan of ordering at the register, especially at a place you don't have near you at home so you don't know the menu. Makes me feel rushed. Once we all ordered, we were seated right away. The salad bar is very nice with a good selection. They have several soups, nachos and bread as well. It was great to get some food right away after traveling. Dinner was ok, steak was good but not the best I have had. Waitress was very friendly and cleared plates and re-filled drinks all the time. The dessert buffet was good, several items to choose from.

“Excellent salad and soup bar”
Reviewed 6 August 2014 via mobile

Very few gluten free options. Portions have gotten smaller and prices have recently been raised. Salad bar remains in excellent taste though the bread bar on a Sunday evening at 6pm was empty. They were also out of my favorite....The sweet potato by 6 pm - very unusual. And if it's common....they should consider making more. Excellent choice for a rather quick sit down meal. If you aren't a local and are only passing through...This is one of the better places to get a steak in Bedford without totally breaking the bank.

“Less Than I Remember”
Reviewed 4 August 2014

All Hoss's are about the same. However, they have some weird policies. For example, senior discounts are not available after 5 pm. Also, if you want pickled eggs that used top be on the salad bar, they now cost 3/$1. They also no longer have raisin bread at the bread area. The soup bowls, also, are not bowls, they are cups. The waitresses have the distasteful practice of sweeping under booths while people in other booths are eating. I guess they have to be kept clean but it seems like an unsanitary practice to me. Prices also are much higher than I remember. For example, our salad bar tab was $8.69. That isn't outrageous but places like Golden Corral and Ryan's give you meat and side dishes for a dollar or two more.

“Clean and well run Hoss location”
Reviewed 26 July 2014

As with most chain restaurants, if you've been to one then you've been to them all. The staff at this particular location were super friendly and on the ball. The salad bar was constantly being kept clean of anything that might have spilled and the food was constantly being replenished. Our family had a good hot meal here at a good price and would recommend this location to anyone who might be in the area.
