Very quiet for the evenings as far as activities but a very beautiful environment and friendly staff. Day activities mostly if not raining- golf, segway tours, hiking in small mountain next to resort, pool, outdoor fire pit at night. Room was beautiful and ours had a deck with comfortable deck chairs overlooking the course which was very pretty. After rain, the fog/clouds rolled over the mountains. Food was good but not superb but didn't try all venues. Website says 2 hrs from DC but going and coming back took 2 routes and both were closer to 3 hrs. Downtown town is only a few blocks but has a few quaint stores.
Would recommend for a quiet romantic getaway, a wedding or golf weekend.
Stayed in June 2014.
