My wife and I have been to the restaurant a few times more recently and it seemed as if they have finally gotten their act together after years of poor service and lousy food.
We just went there for a Friday night meal and, once again, the service and food is bad. The place was not crowded, but it took forever to get a drink order. The chef spends too much time talking to the few patrons who visit and not enough time making the food better.
Do not order steak there - even though the place has been rebranded as a steakhouse. The quality is bad and the meat has a funny propane taste. Sandwiches or pizza are your safest choice, but even these are not consistent.
The decor is beautiful - with the exception of the overdone tribute to the owner's ex-husband and 84Lumber owner Joe Hardy. It's a shame they can't get the food nor service right, as the place has very much potential.
