“excellent stay !”
Reviewed 28 January 2014

Stayed in the Nanny's Attic. In town to go to the APS Library and randomly picked a place to stay. Glad we picked right ! Nancy's hospitality was wonderful and the accommodations impeccable. We arrived a bit late in the evening and our hosts were right there waiting. The room was perfect and cozy (we actually bought the sheets which were available in the gift shop they were so nice !) for a good nights sleep. All of the breakfast choices sounded tasty and our choice of egg benedict was very good. The warm welcome, good conversation and many tips of things for my wife to do around town while I was at the library made us feel at home. We will be back ! highly recommended ! Thanks, Nancy and see ya soon !
Jere & Rochelle

Room Tip: We peaked in most but liked the feeling of coziness and privacy in Nanny Attic.

They say the average life of an innkeeper is 7 years. It's guests like you that keep me enjoying the business after 17 years! Hurry back!

I rented Virginia House, one of Nancy's 3 bedroom homes situated behind the Inn. I was hosting a large tailgate at Penn State a few weekends ago with and for my children and their friends. Traveling from NY with a car FULL of food and equipment left me in need of a kitchen and a beautiful home to rest in with my family. Well, this house was perfect. I felt extremely safe in the charming neighborhood (my husband couldn't join us), the house was spotless, decorated beautifully, had everything I could have needed in the kitchen and Nancy ran everything perfectly. It was a very easy drive to the University and it was nice to escape the mayhem of the Penn State/Michigan madness after the game! I will definitely stay here again, it was a pleasure.

This b and b was very welcoming and lovely. We spent two nights here and found Nancy the owner to be very charming and hospitable. She was very attentive and the place is perfect. Breakfast each day was wonderful. Our room was very comfortable as well. It is well decorated and Nancy is the perfect conversationalist. I would highly recommend The Queen when in the area.

I spent a full week at The Queen when I was in Central PA on business. I drive a certain iconic 27 foot-long hot dog (hint: "Oh I wish I were...") around the United States and this was one of my favorite places we have been so far. Nancy and her husband Curt were super hospitable, and more than exceeded our expectations for our stay. It hardly felt like work at all for my colleague and me. I stayed in Nanny's Attic which was clean, quiet, and had a lot of character to it. Nancy makes a great breakfast and has some fantastic recipes in her repertoire. Nancy also made some great recommendations for fun things to do in the area. I hope to someday return for a mini-vacation to the great little town of Bellefonte!

This is the best B&B we have stopped at. Everything is warm, cozy, clean and inviting. The entire house is decorated with Victorian flair, including a working Victrola and a player piano. My wife was so fascinated stereopticon in the parlor, she purchased one on ebay, and has started a collection of cards. The Queen is located on a quite side street, and the well furnished front porch was nice for people watching and meeting the locals. Nancy will tell you where all the good shops are. Everything is within walking distance of a few blocks. We had to leave early, so, we missed the fancy breakfast, but, we were provided with a take out breakfast of fresh fruit, brownies, nuts and other goodies. We stayed in Anne's room. Absolutely fantastic decor, from the slipper tub, to the armoire housing old wedding dresses. I'm not sure what material the sheets are made from, but they, and the bed were most comfy. Don't forget to check out the park on Water street and hand feed the ducks. We'll be back again. Thanks for everything Nancy.... Roger and Beverley

Spent an absolutely wonderful night in Anne's room. Lovely, cozy room. We enjoyed playing with the Victorian music "toys" in the parlor - player piano, victrola, etc. available for all to try. The gardens around the house are beautiful. Enjoyed a great breakfast prepared by our host, Nancy, with whom we had several very pleasant conversations. Next time we are in victorian Bellfonte, won't have to think twice about where to stay.

This place was exactly why I really like B & B's. The proprietor was very friendly and accommodating. We stayed one night in The Maid's Quarters, which is a 1 bedroom suite with a living room, full kitchen, and bathroom. The living room had a futon for 2 kids to sleep in, so 4 people fit comfortably. The decor is Victorian and quirky. Everything was clean and there were chocolate truffles awaiting us on arrival, as well as water and soda in the fridge. Breakfast was delicious, and the proprietor asked us if we had any food preferences or dislikes the night before (we didn't). The place is in a nice part of town surrounded by other similar large, well kept homes. Nancy had some really interesting stories to tell at breakfast; she is a smart, fascinating person.
