“very charming B&B”
Reviewed 6 April 2014

Wonderful stay. Very charming B&B in a great part of town, in walking distance of the river as well as interesting shops. The owners have made many small choices that are smart and add a warm touch, such as a place for snacks.

Upon returning to my old college town for the first time in 25 years I expected to relive a lot of memories. I did not expect the new one my wife and I created. We have stayed in Bed and Breakfasts all over the east coast, but none finer than College Hill. Our room was so comfortable, yet eloquent. The breakfast was amazing. Nothing about our stay was less than perfect for us. Ray and Nancy have given me another reason to want to go back to Bloomsburg

We have stayed at this Bed and Breakfast more than once and every time we stay we realize why we keep coming back. The Inn itself is so welcoming from the outside, that it should be of no surprise how beautifully and tastefully it is decorated inside as well. The rooms are cozy, comfortable and immaculate. Breakfast is always delicious and we love to be surprised by what we will be eating each morning. You can even go down before breakfast and get a hot cup of coffee to enjoy in your room before breakfast. Ray and Nancy are a delight to visit with and offer suggestions of things you can do. We love sitting and chatting with them over that last cup of coffee. It seems that all the little touches that might make your stay extra special are thought of in advance and make your time there delightful and memorable. After a stay here, I leave feeling pampered (love the comfy robes!). Beware ...there is one problem when you stay here...you will not want to leave to go home!!!

Ray and Nancy are amazing. They are a very cute and helpful couple. When booking the room, I had some back and forth with my travel plans and was in contact with Ray. He was very accomadating and patient with sorting out the dates. We stayed for one night and were not very familiar with the area, as we had planned on being in the State College area. Ray gave us a great dinner suggestion (Seasons -- highly recommend!). He also looked up local events in the area and told us where we could find wine tastings, etc. We were a week early and weren't able to go to the many holiday festivities that were taking place the following weekend, but still had a wonderful evening. The downtown area is very nice and quaint. We had an amazing stay and would definitely go back there again!

Breakfast was amazing! They have food for anyone, even if you have a food allergy (i.e. gluten-free). The room was very comfortable (East Wing) and would have to say that it did exceed our expectations. We were glad we made the decision to go with a B&B over a hotel!

I have stayed at Bed and Breakfast's all over the country and this is one of the nicest. The accommodations were outstanding! Decor was extremely tasteful and everything was immaculate! Innkeepers were delightful and breakfast was delicious. The rooms are not only spacious but very comfortable with every possible amenity offered. If I am ever in the area again, I most definitely will stay here!

My mom, aunt, and I were all very impressed with this Bed and Breakfast. We have always seen it as we walked through the town and decided to stay there this weekend. Nancy and Ray were very welcoming when we got there and made us feel as if we were at home. The gardens were beautifully kept and the fall/Halloween décor was quite lovely. Also, the furniture in the guest rooms were of a high quality and nicely decorated. The breakfast on the first day consisted of homemade sweetbread French toast which was outstanding. The fluffy eggs on the second day with the fresh fruit was exceptional as well. At the end of the day, it was very nice to be able to go up to the Tea Room and relax with a nice hot cup of tea and a snack. The assortment of beverages and snacks was wonderful. We can’t wait to come and stay again in the spring.

Host not hospitable and quite odd (scale of 1-5 rated 1 and that's being generous). Breakfast mediocre at best (rating of 3). Rooms very clean and nicely appointed (rating of 5+). Unfortunately, quality and cleanliness of the room couldn't compensate for the host's crotchety disposition.
