“Beautiful area”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 December 2012

The lake is fed by springs and is very pretty to walk around or sit and enjoy the scenery. Once fishing season hits, it's a very popular area. Local restaurants within easy walking distance. Quaint town that has a nice juried Arts and Crafts show the first Saturday in June.

A very nice and scenic view! A place to relax! Enjoy the ducks swimming by while sitting on a bench beside the lake!

“Any day, any hour -- it's delightful”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 December 2012

The Children's Lake offers lovely views of swans, ducks, and geese and a meandering walk that is equally good for toddlers and seniors. People of all ages will be entranced watching the fish and fowl-- and people watching too. There is a small poster over by the Appalachian Trail building that explains what to feed the waterfowl. Read it before you throw any food. I could spend a whole day watching the wildlife and breathing in the small town ambiance.

“Years of happy memories here”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 September 2012

For years as our children were growing up, nearly every Autumn we took a day trip first to King's Gap and usually finished it off with an hour or so in Boiling Springs at the Children's Lake. Take a loaf of cheap bread for feeding the numerous geese and ducks. Stroll around the lake, breathing in the crisp air and enjoying the leaves and settled-looking town. There is nothing fancy here -- just a very nice place to be for awhile.

“SIMPLY BEAUTIFUL!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 September 2012

This is the "gem" of Boiling Springs! A beautiful lake with boiling springs, ducks, fish, a gazebo, benches, walking paths, etc. It can't be beat in all seasons because it is simply beautiful! A wonderful place to take pictures, especially in the fall when the leaves turn colors and in the winter when they light the luminaries. Truly a one of a kind experience and it is even free to see! Pack a picnic and enjoy the beauty around you, you can even eat in your car and look at the lake (plenty of parking) or pick up a coffee and take a stroll!
