I have stayed at BMGS on 3 different occasions
(once solo, once as a couple, and once with family) and have been very grateful each time. The rooms are cozy, the beds comfortable, and the staff is very accommodating. The location is outstanding as far as walkability to restaurants, movie theater, train, shopping, etc. Convenience to the train station does mean you hear the trains but it did not keep me from getting to sleep. I appreciate the comforts of home rather than the sterility of a chain hotel or the expense of a high end hotel where every little thing is added on to the bill, including parking. You can help yourself to a cup of tea any time of day or night and you can buy your own provisions to cook for yourself without having to get every little thing - salt, pepper, cooking oil, spices, coffee, tea, etc. All linens are provided as well as all of the usual hotel amenities - iron, blow dryer, internet access, cable TV, etc. This is a bargain compared to comparable accommodations on the Main Line.

After making sure our Villanova Univ. freshman-year daughter was settled in, we stayed on a couple more days at the guest suites to take in the surrounding sites...without having to drive!!! Since the train station is just around the block, we went into the city of Philadelphia (my first time!), visited some old friends for dinner in the town of Narberth, and even walked around my hubby's hometown in Wayne. The suites were comfortable and very clean and we're looking forward to returning in the spring. Thanks for making our stay an easy adventure for us new empty-nesters.

No review says that this place is literally 50 yards from the train line and that the building trembles when the trains go past every half hour from 5 a.m. to midnight. The noise is incredibly loud. Earplugs did not help. Perhaps that is because you can't close the windows because of the badly fitted aircon machines.
We had an upstairs suite (B) that was not as nicely furnished as the downstairs suite (A). The bathtubs were so dirty that you wouldn't want to take a bath, even the bathmats were dirty.
It is a pity because it is close to Bryn Mawr (right next to the station!!), it is large and comfortable for four people (two queen size beds) but at the price it is disappointing.

While our house was having electrical work done, a friend suggested we stay at the Bryn Mawr Guest Suites for a weekend. It was comfortably furnished and instantly felt like home away from home. Everything was clean and bright. Our apartment had two bedrooms equipped with very relaxing queen-sized beds with a cozy but full bathroom between the two. A galley style kitchen off the dining room with a gas stove and all essential amenities like cookware, dishes, basic spices and a coffee maker. The living room was spacious and inviting with comfy couches and chairs, cable TV and WiFi, and a charming private balcony overlooking the peaceful neighborhood.
We enjoyed being minutes by foot away from the center of town and great places to shop, eat and be entertained by live music and a movie institute that features new and avant-garde releases. We stopped by the local food market for our daily meals and were happy we could cook them ourselves. The commuter train station is also within easy walking distance, giving access to many more towns along the Main Line and Philly, from Lancaster to Lansdale.

Overall, an excellenat place to stay!

We rented 3 apartments for 14 guests from overseas. It was the perfect accommodation for them. Everything was comfortable and clean. Photos do represent what the apartments look like. Location is within walking distance to train, supermarket, restaurants and shopping. The staff was exceptional. They made our guests feel welcome and went above and beyond in enhancing their stay. Our group ranged from 10 yrs to 75 yrs and everyone had a great time. Would definitely recommend BMGS.
