Brass Rail is probably the best local store in the Hershey area with specialty beers. Their deli food is fantastic and you get discounts on mixed 6-packs. VIP members get discounts (e.g. 10% off) and first dibs when special beers are in stock. Their full menu and current tap beers can be found on their website: http://www.brassrailbeverage.com/

Do not pass this hole in the wall! Stop for a drink from one of six draft selections. Sit at one of the six small tables or sit at one of the six barstools facing outside while sipping your fresh beer.

if you're at a table, you can ogle all the beers available for purchase one bottle/can at a time. The view from the barstools is more limited, but you can peruse a copy of the beer-oriented publications on hand.

If you ask nicely, I'm sure the staff will accommodate your TV viewing desires.

So, you have a draft beer or two and want more for the road. Pick up a six-pack holder and start the long process of deciding what to take with you. They've made a smart move and print two prices on each bottle/can - individual and six-pack price. You get a discount if you buy six different (or at least three different) beers.

You want some food? Well, you can get a bag of Herr's chips. They have a menu with a variety of sandwiches and soups. There is a deli case with Boar's Head products. I'm a fan of their squash soup/chili. It's vegetarian and very tasty.

Be warned, it can get very busy. if it's quiet, it's quiet. The staff are friendly and will engage in conversation.

have fun!

This place is great. Its the kind of place where on a Saturday afternoon, you stop in after running errands and have a beer and a dog. Not an ordinary dog. The best dogs ever. Soup is great. Craft beers change constantly. You should not be in a hurry since each sandwich is made with care. We are fans!

We have been here on multiple occasions and have been more than happy every time! They have an excellent selection of microbrews lining the wall. If you find one you like they have a chiller there to cool it down for you. The owner also keeps six beers on tap that are always rotating, but you won’t find any Budweiser here. If you like beers from brewers like Troegs, Southern Tier or Founders, you will love this place. But the beer is only half of it. Their food is also great. Keep in mind this is a deli so their focus is on sandwiches and Panini’s, but they also do wings, Boar’s Head hot dogs, fries and soft pretzels. My favorite is the Cubini Panini. Be warned, if you go at lunch time on a Saturday you may have trouble finding a seat. Enjoy!
