Everything is incredible starting with the homemade chips and salsa. I've tried about everything, but my favorites are the Chilango Burrito, Tinga Tostadas, and shredded chicken Enchiladas with salsa verde. I thank God every week that he was gracious enough to bestow upon Southpointe this incredible place. Burritos are slightly smaller than a football. Steak is excellent quality, tender and delicious. Shrimp are enormous, like colossal size and they are generous. And the guacamole is second to none, but get there early because they sometimes sell out of it!

I had placed an order for pickup on my way home from work. So many of my co-workers were raving about it and I was craving Mexican, so I thought I'd give it a chance.

The service I received both placing and picking up my order was prompt and friendly. I ordered the ground beef enchilada dinner and also purchased an order of house-made chips and guacamole. Although very tasty, the enchiladas were not the best "authentic" enchiladas I've eaten (very greasy and I think they needed more flavor) and I was depressed to discover that they served plain pinto beans on the side instead of refried beans. The side of rice was also generally flavorless...

The house-made tortilla chips and guacamole, however, were quite tasty (although borderline pricey). The chips were thick, crispy, and were able to stand up to the thickness of the dip. I'd definitely give a platter of their nachos a try and would also like to taste their salsas.

Overall, I think my meal decent. I wasn't blown away (they didn't live up to the standards set by my favorite Mexican restaurants I would visit during my time at college), but I'd definitely give them another shot to redeem themselves.

... and incredible food!

They've just added a bar and serve drinks. The menu is updated and there's daily/weekly specials. It use to be BYOB -- I'm not sure if they still honor that since they've recently added a bar. Might be a good idea to call and ask.

The chips are spectacular as is the salsa. They don't always offer Chorizo as a meat choice on the menu, but ask -- they will sub it out.

My favorite is the rice. The fluffiest and best flavored I've ever had!!

The atmosphere of the place isn't really anything special -- there isn't table service, you order at the counter and they'll bring it to the table for you. That's never bothered me and they're fast, quick and the servers are always checking on you.

It does get busy -- but worth the wait. There's also take out. Sharing is encouraged -- the portions are XX-large.

As you can see from the photo -- the burrito is full of beef and cheese. No unnecessary fillers!

Ask about the fried ice cream -- they don't always carry it because they can't keep it cold. [Jose tells us the Liquid Nitrogen is expensive!!] Also large enough to share...

They're also NOT OPEN on Sunday -- keep this in mind when planning your visit! Easy to find in Southpointe.
