“Go! Learn and be inspired.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 February 2014

Do stop here, learn and be inspired. This is a very interactive museum; you will not just be reading as you walk, but you will be experiencing as you walk through the exhibits. It can hardly be done in one day, so much rich history to be grateful to see and learn about and from, too. The curators took great care to preserve and create this fine place. The historians there to help are knowledgeable and willing to guide in any way you see fit. The gift shop is quaint and the staff very helpful and pleasant, too.

“An outstanding museum and archives”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 January 2014

This relatively new military history complex includes the incomparable archives (open to the public for research) a new and outstanding museum on the history of the US Army, and an outdoor museum featuring innovative vignettes reflecting different eras of military history in our country. If the story of our army interests you, this is a place that warrants a trip out of your way to see.

“One of a kind”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 December 2013

One of a kind center showcasing the US Army with lots of activities for kids. The mile-long Army trail is an interactive one. The trench system exhibit is interesting with lots of facts posted in actual trenches. The Korean war tanks, Sherman tanks, and helicopters are scattered around the trail.

The indoor museum has many interactive exhibits with a shooting simulation, parachute jumping and army drill experience.

The staff, who are veterans are very friendly and have a wealth of experience to share with curious visitors.

The center serves its purpose of educating visitors with US Army history and significance. Grand plans are in the making for upgrading the facility and expanding into a bigger one.

A must-see place when you are visiting Hershey and an opportunity to educate youngsters about the US Army. No entry fee and the gift shop closes earlier than the museum.
