We had been traveling for a while (Washington, Monticello, Falling Water) and needed a place for a couple nights to rest up before heading to Hershey and Gettysburg. The Pleasant Field B & B had excellent ratings and luckily had a room available (Appalachian Hideaway). We couldn't be happier with our stay. Chuck and Dee made us welcome, the room was quiet and comfortable, and the breakfasts a treat. It was so pleasant we decided to just spend the day relaxing by the pond, walking the grounds, and resting in our room. Highly recommended.

Pheasant field B&B was beautiful setting which we enjoyed just sitting outside and looking at the view...the Rooms were most comfy and homy...the inn keepers were most entertaining and we enjoyed just sitting and chatting with them..the Breakfasts were DEEEEElious.
I highly recomend this B&B,

Room Tip: they had 3 rooms that were pet friendly and 5 not...3 rooms on second floor...

I've never felt so at home on the road. It was such a welcome change from the Motels and Holiday Inn's. Chuck and Dee treated us and our old bassett hound as though we were family. Their hospitality exceeds anything I've ever experienced or could have imagined.

The room had everything we needed including a kitchenette with microwave. We were able to buy groceries, and enjoy some wine and cheese by the pond before a thunderstorm rolled in, when we proceeded to join Chuck and the cat on the front porch to watch the wind and rain pass through.

Dee outdid herself with breakfast and sent us on our way well fed and well caffeinated.

I would recommend this B&B to anyone passing through or anyone hosting a special event. The premises are beautiful and there is a stable out back, giving it the feeling of the English countryside.

Room Tip: If you have a dog there are dedicated pet friendly rooms.

We have been going to the Fall Carlisle PA Car Show for 18 years. We first stayed at motels along I-81. Didn't enjoy that at all with lots of noise and marginal rooms. We discovered Pheasant Field B & B on line and have been staying there for 16 years. It's a great place just outside of Carlisle with two of the most wonderful inn keepers in Dee & Chuck. The rooms are well kept, breakfasts are delicious and the country setting is relaxing. We already have our reservation for next year.

Room Tip: Check their web site to see the different rooms.

As I travel, I always try and find a B & B versus a hotel - some are good, some are great. Pheasant Field is simply wonderful. The rooms are very clean, comfortable and beautifully appointed with modern conveniences. Breakfast was always both healthy and delicious. The owners, Dee and Chuck, go out of their way to welcome their visitors and make sure you are well cared for during your stay. Being unfamiliar with the area, they were so available and happy to help navigate restaurants, local activities and tourist attractions. I fell in love with the Inn and beautiful scenery that surrounds the area. I am hoping to visit again when I have more time to explore . . . but would really just like to visit with new found friends who know how to make their guests feel completely comfortable and at home. There is no doubt this is the place to stay when visiting or working in the area.
