“Perfectly adequate budget accomodation”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 October 2012

The facility is older and it shows. Linens are thin and wrinkly. But the room was reasonably clean, the bed was comfortable, the wifi signal was strong. I did not turn on the TV. The location is very convenient. Breakfast was typical of low budget: cold cereal and sweet buns; the coffee was good and served with creamers (!) not just powder. Younger staff friendly but a little shy, older staff friendly and chatty. Contrary to other reviews, everyone I met spoke English. Appears to be family run. The coupon rate was very good.

We are glad that our property pleased you. We do have a great location close to restaurants Dixon college and the Carlisle Fairground...easy on and off I-81. We take our hospitality seriously and we are glad that our staff was able to make you feel at home. We are in the process of expanding our front breakfast room and lobby to make more room for comfort and a better offering of breakfast choices. Since you were here in October, we have completed our renovation to the guest rooms and are in the process of fine tuning all matters including ordering new modern bedding and towels!

I stayed there when i was traveling home from Virginia Beach. the bathroom had mold in the shower, a loud ac, and filthy bedspreads. The tv barely worked too. They had nothing to offer for breakfast and the staff barely knew how to speak english. Would not reccomend to anyone.

We are sorry that you were not completely satisfied with your stay at our hotel, but we can assure you that we have been making incredible improvements since your stay in August. We have pruchased all new air conditioners in November and renovation to all rooms is now complete. All showers are one piece units which are shiny clean and wonder where the mold might have been. We did have maintenance check the room and saw a slight discoloration from the hard water on the plastic liner. Sometimes people get confused when they see continental breakfast thinking there might be more than that, but we have standard coffee, tea, juices, pastries, bagels, toast and cereals. When our new breakfast room is implemented this year 2013, we intend to add to the selection. We are also in the process of ordering new bed linens and towels. We hope you will give us another try when you are in the area.

Our family stayed for the second year for the Chrysler Nationals. This year the room had a brand new bed, refridgerator, and new carpet. I slept better on there bed than mine at home. The AC worked great. The staff was very nice and courtious. The breakfast selection was good. I arrived on a 90+ degree day and was given a cold bottle of water. Only complant was they kept leaving towels for two instead of three. We plan on staying there next year.

We were travelling home and looking for a place to stay at the end of the day. We used the hotel coupon book and selected this hotel.

For $40 for a night's stay, we were looking for a clean room. We found it.

There was very little offered for the free breakfast.

It is located near the highway with lots of eating establishments close by.

If you want to save money, this is a good place. It is a mile or less further from the Carlise Fairgrounds than the fancier hotels and will probably save you $100. over two nights. Don't expect luxury in this older building. The building is maintained and most importantly, clean. The refrigerator and microwave helped me save money on meals. There are two budget restaurants within walking distance. I was happy I stayed there and didn't spend money on ammenities I don't need.

We spent the night there while on vacation. Te clerk assured me the room was "Nice". I kick myself for not checking the room first and believing this person. We had no choice since there was a Corvette Convention in town and all the other motels were booked. The room was filthy and stunk of mildew. There was a giant patch of mold on the dirty rug near te nightstand! I cleaned it up myself since it was so awful. The bathroom was out and out nasty. On the floor there were 3 dead cockaroaches. There was practically no noise barrier so the sounds from outside traveled freely into the room. Te bedspread was obviously never washed. No amendities. A true horror trip.
