The only thing better than the shakes here at Tricking Springs, is the cholocate milk. The chocolate milk is thick and creamy and has a deep chocolate flavor. The shakes are also thick and come in a varity of great flavors. Worth a stop is you are nearby.

Although I have a favorite restaurant in the area, I decided to give the creamery a go. I wasn't disappointed. The sandwich orders are taken by filling out a sheet where you select the bread/wrap, meat/ vegetables, toppings and condiments. The final product was pretty impressive. There was no skimping on the meat on my sandwich. The ingredients were very fresh, the vegetables crisp, and the condiments flavorful. I chose the roast beef with cheddar cheese, horseradish sauce and sliced hot peppers. Of course, being in a creamery you had to have some ice cream to finish off lunch. I had what was described by the waitress as a small cup that included a scoop of pistachio and one of salted caramel. The small was plenty for one person. All I can say about the ice cream is delicious. My total lunch bill was about $6.50. They also sell fresh cheese products and other locally produced items here as well. A two pound wheel of Swiss cheese, tomato and basil goat cheese and some whole wheat flour managed to make it into my car for the ride home. Based on the freshness, value and availability of local products, this is a place that will require a return visit.

Obviously they have ice cream (a creamery!). And their ice cream is simply the best. We recently reloed to the area and went to Trickling Springs after a recommendation. On Thursdays they serve a wonderful Yankee pot roast with real mashed potatoes, generally corn, and finish it off with a dish of ice cream (2-scoops!). All for under $6.00. Check their website for what they're serving. The Thursday pot roast is served from 11:30am to about 1 but don't be surprised if it's sold out long before 1.

As for the ice cream, it's a real treat. Don't be hesitant about asking for a taste of a particular flavor. Ever hear of Grape Nuts Vanilla? Their Chocolate Marshmallow is outstanding.

Their butter is astounding (but not cheap!).

People are very pleasant and helpful.
