We rented a condo at this resort in July 2009 and the bad taste is still in our mouths two years later. Note that this date option was not available on the list. Dirty, smelly! Almost all resort staff (with the exception of the young man running the bowling alley) were lacking in basic courtesy. The lodge restaurant was appalling. The golf courses were excellent but, once again, the staff could have cared less about the guests. If not for Falling Water, our trip would have been a complete waste of time and money. We have always found American hospitality to be friendly (almost overwhelmingly so), but this resort was the exception. We received no followup to the customer survey we completed when we returned home.

We have visited Seven Springs many times over the last 30 years, most recently this past July. There are a variety of accomodations from hotel rooms to rustic cabins, chalets and condos. The choice is how much you want to spend and how much luxury you want. Most recently we went "top shelf" staying in the most luxurious condos in the Southwind gated community at the top of the mountain. Rentals can be booked either throught the resort or through local realtors. We booked through the resort.

Beautiful, very comfortable accomodations. Kitchens are fully equipped so you can save by cooking in. The Southwind development has a private pool and hot tub that are beautiful. We comfortably housed 6 adults and 4 children in our 4 bedroom 3 1/2 bath unit. During ski season this unit would have cost twice what we paid but Seven Springs is a wonderful summer resort.

Many outdoor activities are available, 3 restaurants, a nightclub, pizza parlor, bakery, coffee shop, spa, arcade, bowling, etc. You get the picture, no shortage of activities for young and old.

If you go plan a trip to Falling Water, Frank Lloyd Wright's iconic masterpiece. Its about a 25 minute drive.

This is a great family resort.

Room Tip: The most comfortable condos are Southwinds and The Villages. These are newer centrally air conditio...

We went to Seven Springs for a family reunion last weekend. We stayed in the condos above the resort and enjoyed it the entire weekend. This truly is becoming a summer destination with many activities for everyone. The restaurants were full but we could always get a big table for our extended family. We enjoyed the music festival on the grounds as well as the other activities (boating, swimming, rides on the ski lift, etc.). I would caution everyone about the luge ride that they have. While this can be a lot of fun, some of us actually wiped out on the sleds. I in particular had a bad accident where I rolled the sled and tore a lot of the skin off my arm and leg, and almost broke a rib. You can and will wipe out on the sleds if you don't control your speed! Same with the mountain biking. I'm amazed the lawyers let them operate these activities, but know your own limits and avoid getting injured.

Room Tip: For large families, get a condo 2 or 3 bedroom condo. Very well furnished and spacious.

Got there for a business and pleasure weekend getaway trip. When we went to check in our room wasn't ready, and we left our baggage downstairs and confirmed with ladies working there that our baggage would be moved so no one else could take it, which was apparently a total joke to them because 2 hours later our baggage was still sitting in the lobby and our friend just went and grabbed my bag off the luggage rack and the employees said nothing after previously reassuring us you'd need a ticket to retrieve your luggage. Room was not worth what we paid. They put us in a room RIGHT across from the pool..and I mean that literally. We opened up the curtains to the room and people from the pool were RIGHT THERE and they could see in our room (which didn't even have a patio or balcony like all the other rooms had for the same price) , so all weekend when we spent time in our room we couldn't even open the curtains! It was summer time at the resort which is usually not a busy time and I have a hard time believing they were so pressed for rooms that they HAD to put us in that one. They gave us passes for complimentary breakfast which was great, but we had to wait in line 45 minutes to even get to the breakfast and by the time they did they were closing the buffet down...this in addition to the $7 they were charging for beer all weekend. They are trying to be a very upscale resort, but they do not have the service that upscale resorts provide. The beds are also old and after staying there for 2 nights I went home feeling exhausted with pains in my back and legs feeling like I didn't sleep all weekend! There's a place called the Log Cabin Motel RIGHT down the road from 7 springs which has better rooms and service for half the price of 7 springs! 7 springs makes it very clear from the beginning that they only want your money and don't really care about much else.

We recently stayed at Seven Springs for a few days because we planned on going to Idlewild Park but also wanted a few days of rest and relaxation. I found Seven Springs by chance while looking for hotels close to Idlewild. The bad news is that Seven Springs is 40 minutes from Idlewild, but the good news is we enjoyed it better than Idlewild! The outdoor pool was beautiful and refreshing. The indoor pool also had some water attractions for young children. A breakfast buffet was included in our 2-day stay and it was fantastic. There was a rib festival with fireworks while we were there. Our room was small but very clean and comfortable. The resort was very well run and maintained. I would love to return for a longer stay next summer.

Room Tip: I asked for a room near the pool. It was small but clean, comfortable and close to the pool and game...

Staying steps away from the lift was a huge convenience. We have had trips in the past where we stayed outside of 7springs... and boy, just sitting in traffic to getting into the park area, then parking, and then waiting for overstuffed shuttle after another... and doing it all over in reverse order at the end of the day... can really take the fun out of things! Also appreciated the huge bar, multiple restaurants, indoor pool, arcade, mini golf... and I think there is also bowling alley and... a club! Nothing world class, but it beats sitting in front of a TV in your hotel room in town as there isn't much to do out in that area. Look out for deals during thanksgiving or on Groupon!

Room Tip: Some rooms are located in high traffic areas, on the way to the arcade/pool... Imagine it could get...

I went to this hotel because an international sales meeting. It is located 2 hours away from Pittsburgh. Premises looks good with a swiss lodge style. There are some activities to do there, swiming, bowling, biking and if in winter of course skiing. I think it was a little expensive for the season and because many of the activities close very early in the afternoon.
