Owner description: The Factory Store is still very much the heart of SGC. We offer a wide variety of hand decorated glass as well as barware and wedding items. Have an item at home that you would like to personalize? Not a problem! With just a few exceptions, we are able to personalize just about anything.

We called ahead and asked for a tour of this 110 year old glass factory. Jessica greeted us and conducted the tour. We were given as much time as we wanted to ask questions about what we saw. We were able watch the workers 'up close and personal'. Their etching skills and expert handling of the glass items was impressive. The old building is charming, and shows off both the old and new production methods. Jessica was terrific. She was well informed, pleasant, and helpful. The gift shop provides some terrific bargains at the end of the tour. Everyone in our group was very impressed.

It is hard to rate this place. As to the "Tour" - it does not exist unless you pre-arrange it. Other than that, it is an unusual glass product store. Somewhat small but loaded with some nice items. Also, many of the items are maked down 50% or 75% and you can get items for yourself or gifts at a reasonable price.

Start your tour in the outlet store where you learn a little about the company. You then proceed to the factory where you will see the artist's customizing different types of glass ware all done by hand. Very interesting. Reservations required.

As long as the group touring is not too large, one can see how they customize glassware. They also show the shipping process. Glassware is also available for purchase.

This is from their website: Susquehanna Glass is a premier provider of decorated
personalized products for wholesale and retail customers, perfect products for catalogs and websites; monogrammed barware, bridal toasting flutes and wedding gifts, logoed winery tasting glasses, corporate awards, monogrammed outdoor acrylic and much more. We focus on five major decorating processes, offering the highest quality hand-cut, sand etched, color screened, lasered and engraved customization on glass, metals, wood and acrylics. All of our products are decorated and shipped in the United States from our factory in Columbia, Pennsylvania.

We had a very interesting personal tour that informed us about the different ways to etch, engrave, decorate and design glass. If you have any interest in glass design, this tour is a must! This factory does all the designs for most stores. Plan to spend time in the gift shop where there are bargains galore, beautiful one of a kind specialty items and personalized gifts. The staff could not be more gracious, helpful and knowledgeable. Highly recommend a visit.
