Extra nice and cozy. Larry and Vicky were very friendly and everything was perfect. We spent a very quiet night and had an awsome breakfast, perfect to continue our route. We met part of their family and animals of the farm, all of them contribute to have a perfect experience.

I originally booked this as a stay along the GAP cycling trail in PA, but was unable to use my reservation as I re-routed by trip. However, I came back several months later and stayed a night - Larry and Vicky were nice enough to honor my original deposit. One of the nice things about staying at a B&B is the folks you get to meet, and Larry and Vicky are no exception - really nice folks, and we enjoyed spending time with them.

The place itself is a bit outside of town, but would actually work fine for bicycles - stay on the trail an extra mile south of Confluence. The driveway is gravel, but other than that not a big deal.

We spent a day at Falling Waters - this is maybe half an hour away. Just a very quiet place to spend a couple days.

This is a fantastic family B&B. Our 2 girls, 3 & 5, had a great time feeding and petting the goats. The cats and Harvey the dog were extremely friendly, yet not obtrusive. Our hosts, Larry and Vicki were very accomodating, providing an evening campfire, answering all the kids questions, and even providing a short tour to the old homestead, and at the same time, provided plenty of privacy around the house and farm. A beautiful property to walk around and explore. We were a little disappointed in the beginning because we were looking for more of a farm stay, with a variety of animals and chores to do, but as a bed and breakfast, it was very much enjoyed by all. A very reasonable weekend rate for the room and delicious meals prepared.

Wonderful for a quiet and comfortable stay in the country. Hosts were very friendly and helpful. Really very kind. We loved all the animals (dog, cats, goats, chickens). We stayed in the Get-Away Suite, and it is quite large. A good size living room, large bedroom, adequate kitchen area, and large bathroom. Nice private deck off the side of the house. Breakfasts were great.

Only issue is the train noise. It did bother my wife and I at night -- and we are not particularly light sleepers. Our third and last night we used ear plugs provided by the hosts and that helped a lot -- we both slept good and I thought they didn't run any trains that night - but of course they did! So the lesson is to make sure you get earplugs!

No TV reception, though most people wouldn't care about that and we didn't. They have WiFi and allowed me to have access. (Gave me the encryption code).

Its a couple miles outside of Confluence -- so you'll need to drive to restaurants. We ate at the Lazy Dog (casual) and River's Edge (more upscale) for dinner and both are good. Location is great for the bike trail, with trail parking just down the hill from Stepping Stone farm. There is no cell phone service in Confluence area - as far as I can tell.

I highly recommend Steppingstone B and B...we have stayed there as a family with our two kids 10 and 11 several times and have had a wonderful time. My husband and I would also chose to go here as a time away weekend together or single. The hosts are so welcoming and there is privacy at the same time. We love the area...the rivers, the biking, the hiking, Fallingwaters. The goats, chickens, cats and dog are so enjoyable as well. The hosts set up a fire circle with smores each time we have been there..a night out under the stars! Be ready for the trains..you may need ear plugs and white noise! We love it all!

My wife and I recently traveled to Confluence, PA, mainly to visit Falling Water, (the Frank Lloyd Wright designed home) but also to explore the area and enjoy the fall weather for a weekend getaway. Stepping Stone Farm B&B was very comfortable and convenient for our stay. Our hosts, Larry and Vicki Rempel were helpful and friendly and provided a delicious homemade breakfast for both days of our stay. We chose one of the single guestrooms, which was perfect for a couple. We did have to share a bathroom with two other guestrooms, but even with a full house, that was not a problem or inconvenience. Larry provided some great suggestions for points of interest beyond Falling Water (which is well worth the tour, by the way). There is a great antique shop (River's Edge) in Confluence, along with an interesting Artisans (craftsmans) Village in nearby Grantsville. Be sure to also stroll through the Nemacolin Woodlands Spa and Resort and view their extensive art collection throughout the publicly accessible hallways- a great indoor activity for a rainy day or evening. PS: We didn't even notice the sound of any passing trains...

Went to PA to see the fall leaves and stayed at the farm for two nights. Accommodations were very good and clean. We stayed in the "Get-A-way Suite" which in addition to the bedroom and bathroom has a large living room with a kitchenette and dining table on one side. The breakfasts were delicious. Vicki and Larry Rempel, the owners, are very nice and know the local area well. They provided great suggestions for daily activities. It was fun to walk around the farm and see the animals. I enjoyed hearing the occasional train go by. I would like to go back another time.
