This place is sort of a fancy hole in the wall. We happened upon it for lunch and were pleasantly surprised. The salads and pizzas were excellent and fresh! The service was great. They also have a great menu with many italian favorites. Likely a intimate little place for dinner. We will definitely be back.

We were in town for 3 days and had 2 meals here, it was that good. Don't be fooled by the exterior, this is a hidden GEM. The mussels are to die for, scampi, homemade ravioli and lemon Alfredo are all excellent. Service is very nice, the atmosphere is down to earth and friendly. Seriously, come for the food.... You won't be sorry. Get the mussels!!!

We dined here for Valentine's Day dinner and was a bit disappointed. For the appetizer we ordered Shredded Pork Spring Rolls, which were quite good. Afterwards, we got the French Onion Soup and Tomato & Basil salad, which also were enjoyable. For the entrees though, it was mixed results. The filet mignon was very good, but the bacon that wrapped it seemed undercooked. We also got a chicken parmagiana that was very pedestrian and had no flavor.

The service was a big negative for us to not really want to go back. While it was a full restaurant this night, there seemed to be enough employees in the restaurant to handle the load. Unfortunately, the service was quite slow. It took almost 30 minutes between our soup/salad and our entree to be served, which was way too much time. In addition, our waiter did not even check in with us once to see how things were. When we were done eating, it took a while to get the check and for them to process the credit card payment.

They also discourage credit card payment on your bill, which I think is quite unprofessional, claiming high credit card fee costs. I'm sorry, but in the year 2013, paying by credit card is standard and a business needs to consider these credit card fees as just the cost of doing business. Asking patrons to not use a credit card is inexcusable today.

My two girlfriends and I fondly remember our last visit and the mussels. Our return visit did not disappoint. It is a lovely BYO with the best mussels fra diavolo. We all loved them so much we each added a take out order to our bill and enjoyed later over angel hair. Each time we visit, the Chef makes it a point to spend some time chatting with customers and making sure all is well. Can't wait to return.

We went to Piatto Grille on a sunday evening. The service was great from the start. They served warm bread with a great red pepper sauce. Very different. The appetizers we ordered were so good (beer battered asparagus, etc). Our entrees were delicious as well. Very nice italian food. We did not have dessert, but they showed us what they had and it looked fantastic. We'll try it next time.
I'd say the space needs renovating (the booths were very old). But other than that, it was great. it's a BYOB, and we forgot our wine. :( but next time we'll remember.
