“People and Pet Friendly”
Reviewed 14 December 2009

If you are traveling Route 80 through Pennsylvania, I'd strongly recommend the Best Western Danville-especially if you are travellng with pets. Some places say they are "pet friendly" but this one really is. Our 2 little dogs were given treats and several staff members paused to pet them. They were very friendly to humans, too. One of the desk clerks noticed that I liked hot tea. The next time I passed through the lobby he told me he had just heated some water, in case I felt like a cup of tea. Now, that is a remarkably high level of service. When we were getting ready to leave, there was an ice storm. We were encouraged to stay beyond check out time in the hopes that the storm passed. We did stay a little over and when we left we were cautioned to have a safe trip home. It was like leaving grandma's.
I should also mention that the rooms are spotless, modern and quiet.

We only stayed one night, but we highly recommend this hotel. You will not find a friendlier staff or cleaner hotel anywhere. We WILL stay here every time we are in the area. Thank you folks for making a stay a good one!!!!!

I stayed at this hotel for one night with my two teenage daughters while we were in the area visiting colleges. We had a first floor room with 2 full sized beds and paid 89.99 rate (no deposit payment required). It was a Sunday night and there didn’t seem to be too many guests. I had reserved the room via the Best Western website after checking for lowest rates on various sites. The room was clean and comfortable and we used the free internet in the room without a problem. We also used the business center to print something out later (waited briefly for the one printer). The indoor pool was clean with plenty of towels and chairs. Around dinner time they set out the fresh baked cookies, which we each sampled. In the morning we liked the hot breakfast with waffles, eggs, sausage, biscuits, and the usual pastries/toast/cereal selections. Check out was quick and service was friendly and we’d stay there again if in the area.

The Best Western is a fairly nice and newer hotel.I was impressed with the bathroom as I like very clean and newer bathrooms. The beds were very unconfortable and had hair in them along with the pillows. At the breakfest bananas were not ripe and the apples were borderline rotten... We didn't try the other baked goods, but were happy with our warm waffles. Threw out our stay we passed and talked to the hotel staff alot and we noticed that the manger or owner couldnt tell what he was because he was very undressed to be the manager but the way he was talking to this young man was not right and at check-out he was doing the same to the ladys checking us out. It was very unprofessional and i felt really bad for the people that have to work for him.I do not think he is fit to be manager because after we were done loading up he was smoking infront of the building and than came back in and yelled at his workes infront of all the guest including us.

  • Liked — How empty the hotel was!
  • Disliked — The manager i think thats what the big guy was

We stayed at this best western one night (jan 17) and were very happy with the hotel. It was clean comfortable with not too many guests. The room was very clean and spacious. We had 2 double beds which were great. Lots of channels on the tv. Nice bathroom with hot water and large tub. Very friendly staff and nice breakfast in the morning. cereal, fruit, toast,waffles.. coffee juice ext We had a great stay and really got out moneys worth. The hotel is 20 mins away from lewisburg PA which is definitely a place everyone should check out. Adorable little town. For a college visit hotel this was perfect and all we needed. $75 is a great deal!!!

We stayed at this hotel for two nights (10/3 and 10/4) and had a good experience. We got a great deal on our room (under $100 a night) The room we stayed in had a hot tub which was awesome; it was large enough for two people to sit comfortably.

The room itself was very spacious and had ample amounts of drawer space and closet space for two people who were staying a few days. If you are staying any longer than 2 days you may want to bring along some extra hangers.

Breakfast was good (6-10am) - they have a waffle maker, a few hot items (i.e. scrambled eggs, sausage), an assortment of cold/dry items (muffins, cereal, bagels, toast, etc.), as well as coffee and juice . The staff was constantly restocking the breakfast area.

The seating area for breakfast is very small so you may want to do what we did and bring along a tray so that you can transport your breakfast back to your room.

Our room was very clean when we arrived, however, the housekeeper who cleaned our room on Saturday wasn't exactly outstanding... the room wasn't dirty but it didn't look like she cleaned the hot tub, or any of the mirrors, and she didn't leave us enough towels. It was only a minor problem-no big deal esp. since we got a great deal on the room!

We didn't go in the pool but we took a look at it - it was on the small side but it was indoors which is great. They also have a small exercise room too.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. No complaints... we will be back next year!
