While on a fast weekend trip to Pennsylvania for a family reunion we decided to drive and get as far as we could the first day. We drove as far as we could, starting at 6:30 am and driving to exhaustion at 10:30 pm. We found a Days Inn in Donegal, PA.
I want to go on record to say that I am NOT a fan of Days Inn, but I thought I’d risk it.
It was the typical Days Inn that I’ve seen before; clean but rough. They seemed to be in the middle of a remodel so things were a little haphazard. This was a Patel property, every one of these I stay in seem to have a lower standard of cleanliness, there is not the typical clean scent in the property.
The real kicker on this place was that if the price were $50, even 70 dollars that MIGHT have been acceptable but we paid over $130 with all the taxes! This was NOT a $130 a night property. It just reminded me why I try to avoid the Days Inn Brand.More
