Description: Vine & Fig Tree, a truly comfortable, warm and inviting BYO Bistro is now serving a relaxed all-day breakfast and mid-day lunch menu. Casual bistro dinners with simple desserts are available Thursday through Sunday evenings. Seasonal outdoor dining is available on our patio. Chef Drew Abbate draws his inspiration for Vine & Fig Tree from the informal celebrations that took place in his grandfather’s backyard filled with long tables of delicious food, trees strung with lights, homemade wine, and the laughter of family and friends.

It is amazing what Drew the owner can put together in his tiny kitchen. The omelets, waffles and other breakfast foods are a great value and truly the best in town. Dinner always thrills me as he has interesting options from small birds to rabbit as well as beef and salmon. While the front dining room is very cozy and nice in the winter my favorite is outside eating in the summer. They often have live music on weekends.

We went to the Vine & Fig Tree Bistro twice this weekend for breakfast each time. Both meals were excellent. Service was excellent. The friendly wait staff kept our coffee regularly refreshed. The restaurant faces E. State St. where window seating gives you an opportunity to people watch. They have a backroom that you can reserve for larger groups. On one of my visits, we had a business meeting with 10 people and conversed easily and in private. Very nice place,,,,with excellent food. They are also open for dinner, which we plan to try sometime.

My husband and I are new to the area and since having our first breakfast there a few weeks ago, we have become "regulars" to say the least. We have tried almost everything on the breakfast menu and find the portions to be generous and the omelets too large! Our favorite breakfast is the bagel with smoked salmon served with capers and the freshest salad vegetables. The regular coffee is delicious; we can only imagine how good the french press and specialty drinks are. While we have been to this bistro for lunch several times, we have only ordered the grilled chesse. They are that good.
The setting is so much like the small side street bistros in Paris. If you can secure a front table, the view is that of the 1950s. This morning, we actually could see the popcorn machine at the County Theatre across the street popping corn as the snow began to fall.
The staff could not be nicer. The place is usually packed and they serve as quickly as they can while remaining unrattled and very friendly.
We have not yet been there for dinner, but, plan to do so soon!

We come here for breakfast, brunch and lunch, usually! Great little spot in the center of Doylestown. The food is always good. Service is usually a little slow, so come with time on your hands. We enjoy the calm, peaceful pace. Such a cute spot across from the County Theater. On street parking close-by!
