Hotel Harrington was an incredible hotel. The rooms were incredibly clean, and the staff were gracious, kind, and accommodating. The morning breakfasts were delicious, with a lot of choices to satisfy even the vegetarian in our group. The rooms were spacious, with high-quality mattresses and bed linens. Perhaps our favorite amenity were the curtains that created complete darkness - we had some of the best nights of sleep while staying there! Also, the 220 House restaurant within Hotel Harrington was such a blessing - they served delicious food that rivaled some of the best restaurants in Philadelphia AND they were open when other restaurants in the small town were not! I recommend this hotel wholeheartedly!

My son, grandson, and I stayed at the Harrington this past weekend and the hotel exceeded our expectations in almost every way. The hotel's location worked out perfectly, as each of our planned destinations (to Eagles Mere, Forksville, Laceyville, etc.) was a comfortable car ride away. The beds were comfortable, the air conditioner had a nice "always on" feature perfect for those who sleep lightly and have trouble with on'/off cycles. The room was comfortably and functionally laid out, including a bench seat for putting on shoes, a great dresser, a small table for dining and a swivel lounge chair for relaxing in addition (!) to the desk and adjustable desk chair. Wifi was free and fast, and the flat-screen TV was great! Best of all was the well-appointed kitchen with a fridge (separate freezer!) and Keurig, utensils and microwave. The bathroom was clean and comfortable with a rain-type shower head and gloriously fluffy towels. Outside the room, we enjoyed a hearty complimentary breakfast and the attention of a friendly staff. The only quibble I had with this hotel was that the automated Wake-up Call service did not work, and on one occasion I was unable to reach anyone at the front desk to arrange for a wake-up. I did get voice mail with an option for a callback, but opted out as I was on the verge of sleep.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone interested in visiting the heart of the Endless Mountains. It's close to conveniences and attractions, is clean and safe and well-laid-out, and is an ideal option for those looking for a local option in place of the big nameless chains. Big city comforts indeed!

Room Tip: Views to the back of the hotel are not great. The main floor (four rooms) is the only handicapped-a...

Thank you for your kind words. We apologize for the inconvenience regarding the phone system. A severe thunderstorm with tornadoes struck our area one day before your arrival causing power outages in our town for 18 hours. During this event our phone system was damaged. Currently, as you experienced, only the wake up call function is not working as we desire. We are working to restore this function and it should be operational very soon. Thank you again for your review and we hope to see you in the near future at Hotel Harrington.

Our three days stay at the Hotel Harrington in Dushore could not have been any more enjoyable. It's been along time since we have stayed at a hotel other then the regular chain hotels and this establishment was a refreshing change. The hotel staff are friendly and accommodating in ever way. The hotel has a freshness to it ... up dated with all the extras we travelers welcome. Breakfast was beyond wonderful ... we thank them for their extra effort. I could go on and on but the bottom line is WOW! We would recommend to anyone to. stay here. We just loved the hometown hospitality. Thanks to all at the hotel who made our stay for our family reunion in Eagles Mere even better then we could have dreamed. This is an A+++ Hotel in our book.

So, you pull into this small town called Dushore. There's not much here. It seems to be in existence because two fairly major local roads intersect here. You would think that any hotel would be some old, musty place that doubles as the local bar.
Not this place!! This is new! This is quality! The room would rival any high quality hotel you would find in a city. Roomy! Comfortable! Every amenity you would want.
There is also a breakfast that is very similar to a Hampton Inn. This is a small hotel, but has everything you need, and quality that will amaze you! The staff is friendly and helpful.
If you would force me to find a fault, I suppose it would be that it would be nice to perhaps have a floor lamp next to the couch - just for some extra light if you want to sit there and read.

I had the pleasure of staying at the Hotel Harrington/Dushore on 2/8/14. The accomodations were excellent, the staff friendly and helpful. This gem of a hotel leaves all others in the area in the dust. Should you find yourself anywhere in the area I would highly recommend you stay here.

Due to a change of plans, we needed to stay in my 'hometown neck of the woods' and the Hotel Harrington came through with outstanding people, service, and accommodations. From the initial call to make reservations (Adam) was kind, polite and professional. During our check-in, I met with the owners/staff (Gerry and Amyee) and felt truly welcomed back into the town of Dushore, PA.

The room was on the ground level and it was very spacious. It had two full beds (maybe queen?) and it was decorated very tastefully. It had a sense of clean lines and a European feel with the modern furniture. The kitchenette was useful and appreciated. The bathroom was large, bright and clean.

An added benefit was the complimentary breakfast (eggs, pancakes, bacon/sausage) that was provided every morning. This gem in the Endless Mountains is an independent hotel that is worth staying at for one night or the week. It brings a quiet, but strong, sense of luxury and relaxation to any trip.

I would highly recommend staying at the Hotel Harrington.

Hotel Harrington is a hotel with the ambiance of a bed & breakfast. Our spacious room was tastefully decorated, had an immaculate bathroom with shower, and even a little efficiency room with sink and refrigerator. The host and hostess were gracious, helpful, and friendly. The location is ideal for exploring the beautiful endless mountains of PA.
