This new remodeled place is great, we visit the Crayola "experience" every year at least 3 times a year. My kids love to pain and using all the Crayola products. The new Experience has really great new attractions, like Marker maker, Make your own Crayon and you can even name your own Crayon and so much more.
My kids LOVE this place; is very reasonably prices and because of that it can be crowded at times but you are in there for at least 6 hours!! Also, this place is great for kids yournger than 9 years. If older they could get a little bored.

Our last visit was in 2011 when it was called the Crayola Factory and my daughter was 4. We weren't sure we would go back again after that visit. It was fun but wasn't sure it warranted another 1.5 hour drive. We wanted to visit the area again so decided to go. I'm glad we did. They added a bunch of new things and my daugther really enjoyed them. They give you tokens that you can redeem for special crayons, markers and modeling clay. We got 9 (3 each for the 3 of us) and you can purchase more. She enjoyed making personalized labels for her crayons and watching the machines make markers. The new additions was the 4th floor with the spin art and melted crayons into objects. That was a lot of fun. Go as early as you can because it gets really crowded as the day goes on. We arrived at 10:30 and when we were leaving at 1 to get lunch, it was packed.

We visisted with my two grandchildren - boys aged 7 and 2 1/2 who had a wonderful time. When we arrived hojme the eldest wanted to know if we could go back tomorrow - quite an endorsement. He ususally is immersed in video games wiht anry an interest in creative endeavors but as the old Crayola commercial stated - use your brain, not batteries.
The best way to start your visit in on the second floor where you can see how crayola crayons are made. The room was packed with children all at rapt attention. Walking out from the demonstration room you can then have your own crayon imprinted with the label information of your's child's selection and then roll the label on to the crayon. Fun for all.
The next stop is creating your own marker with a choice of colors.

Ohter great activites include making an item out of a crayon by melting it down into a mold of your choice and using crayon wax to create pictures on a rotating wheel.
There are multiple interactive opportunites which are educational and fun.
Don't miss the canal crayon boat where your child navigates a cryon boat along a cnala complete with locks, tunnels and coal.

There is very little effort to promote the extra chrage items and no need to buy the few offerings.
The cafe had little that was appealing so we went across the street and down the block to an old time pizzeria for a great lunch.
We spent the whole day there and the kids wanted to come right back - so what more can you ask for?

All in all a great time at a reasonable price.

We were on a family vacation in the Poconos and decided on the Crayola Factory as a day outing. For the 7 and 8 year old grandchildren it was packed with fun things to do! For the rest of us there were interests too. We all enjoyed making our own crayon. Splatter art was another popular feature. One novel activity after another on three floors took all afternoon but well worth it. We had lunch in their lunchroom - frozen pizza and drinks.
