“Charming Theatre”

State Theatre Center for the Arts

Attended a performance of Beauty and The Beast and this was our first visit to the State Theater. Great character and charm in this Theater. Very easy to get to and the public parking garage is a short 5 min walk away. Parking was $2. We had orchestra seats P1-P3. These are right on the aisle and in the last row before the next section begins. There is a large aisle between Row P and Q so if you like to stretch the legs Row Q would be a great choice. Would definitely return.

My wife and I moved to the Lehigh Valley in 2010 and have been to many concerts and plays at the historic State Theater in the past 4 years. There isn't a bad seat in the house, and ticket orders are easy on-line. Convenient parking is right around the corner in the public parking garage, and there are several good restaurant options in walking distance of the theater, too. Get on the State Theater's e-mail mailing list and they'll keep you apprised of coming attractions in the next year. Make a night of it and enjoy downtown Easton.

The State Theater does not have a standing show per se, but rather hosts a variety of professional performers (sometimes sponsored by the State Theater - sometimes by outside promoters). Seating is comfortable and most seats have good views. Attractions range from animal shows to musical performances to political comentators.

Nice Historic Building, however it was very hot inside. Talent was ok - There were 4 comics - two good and two that needed work.
