My Shetland sheepdog and I enjoyed a lovely stay of several days here. The friendly, gracious atmosphere and thoughtful gestures were so appreciated: Late for breakfast? "No problem...we held it for you".(Homemade bread for toast, imported jams, banana chocolate chip muffins,in a bright room overlooking the apple trees!) Thank you for all your kindnesses. We hope to stay with you again!ll

We have just discovered this place and love it. Owners are delightful and we spent an hour with them over drinks. Very clean, tastefully decorated, and a breakfast to die for!
Easton is a pretty college town and worth a visit. This B & B is THE place to stay!

Room Tip: They have rooms that cater to pets, with direct outside access (not thru Lobby). Upper floors have n...

My husband and two young daughters recently spent 2 nights at the Lafayette Inn. Overall we were pretty pleased. We stayed in room 21 and it was nicely decorated and pleasant to look at. The room was impeccably clean and it was quiet for our early bedtimes. The staff were helpful and professional and we found the common areas-- both the breakfast sun room and the living room to be pleasant. There were a few things that were less than ideal though-- especially for a relatively expensive hotel. First, the linens were very low quality. The sheets were a cotton-polyester blend and the towells were few, tiny and threadbare. Those linens belong in a budget motel, not a $200+ a night inn! The other big problem was that the air conditioner did not really get the room cold. We were there during some VERY hot nights so we understand that it the air conditioner was really working at its limit (and we therefore didn't complain as we assumed there was nothing to be done). Still, it was more than 80 degrees in the second room with the trundle bed... which was unfortunate as we needed to use that as a sleeping space for our family of four. Finally, while the bed in the main room was firm and comfortable, the mattress on the trundle bed was awful. Saggy, bouncy and loud. I could not have slept on it!
Overall, we felt the benefits outweighed the negatives but with a few relatively easy fixes, this could be a much nicer hotel than it currently is.

Dear Paul & Laura,

Thank you so much for the great hospitality and all the help you have provided to make last weekend very special for my wife and myself. Your place is beautiful and we will recommend the Lafayette Inn to everyone we know. There is an old saying “You are only as good as the company you keep” and with your wonderful staff, and your referrals of Roger from Have Balloon Will Travel, Luna Setta, the massage therapist and the outstanding recommendation of Lois Heckman for our marriage vow renewal the weekend could not have been better and that makes The Lafayette Inn that much greater. You two should be proud of yourselves and the business you are running. This was our first stay at a Bed and Breakfast, but thanks to you it will NOT be our last.

Keep up the great work.

Best regards,
Danny & Janine Aufiero

p.s. The Belgium Waffles were the best I ever had.

We're a thirty-something couple who recently stayed at the Lafayette Inn whilst visiting family living in Easton & it was an exceptional experience. From the delicious breakfasts (homemade Belgian waffles, omlettes, fresh fruit, bagels, juice, coffee & more!!!) to the cosy, well appointmented rooms with old world comfort & charm, it exceeded our expectations in every way, particularly in light of the incredible value for money. The attention to detail was especially lovely: water, sodas & homemade goodies in the parlor/lounge for you to help yourself to 24hrs per day, daily servicing of rooms, nice linen, comfy pillows & bed, effective air-con, beautiful garden & verandah, cheese & wine each afternoon - what a bargain! The only (& very mnor!) gripe we had was our gorgeous antique wardrobe wasn't very functional, but there was plenty of drawer space so it wasn't a huge problem. Would whole-heartedly recommended this fabulous B&B to anyone wanting a romantic getaway or even if on business as the free wi-fi was an added bonus.

Room Tip: If travelers are less mobile or have heavy suitcases, be sure to request a room on the lower levels...
