The inn is very charming and cosy, and the staff friendly and helpful. It's a huge old house (formerly part of Lafayette College) located on a beautiful tree-lined street. I love the wine and cheese offered at 4:00 PM in the lounge area. They also have a refrigerator full of sodas, a coffee/tea maker and fantastic cake. The sunlit breakfast room is lovely. The regular rooms are not gigantic (you can upgrade to more expensive suites), but they are comfortable and clean. The staff makes excellent recommendations for places to dine, and there are a few bars/restaurants within walking distance. Definitely one of the best B&Bs I've ever stayed in, and I've been all over the world. I have a few beefs, one of which is I wish they would make omelets (they do Belgian waffles), as the only eggs available seem to be hard-boiled. It would also be nice if the lounge refrigerator had some more healthful options, such as bottled water or juice. Otherwise, I can't think of anything negative to say. Room charges are comparable to Hampton Inn-type places, and the experience is much more homey and hospitable. I stay there often as I have relatives nearby; I would recommend to anyone traveling to this area.

Room Tip: Some rooms only have showers, so if you like a bath as I do, make sure you get a room with a tub. La...

We thank you for your comments and suggestions - you must have stayed at the inn during a weekend when we do quiche, French toast, pancakes or other hot entrees. During the weekday we do make omelets to order as well as scrambled eggs and the Belgian Waffles. In addition to providing bottled water in the room we will also look at adding bottled water into the lounge refrigerator as one of the many beverages available to our guests.

I was misled by the reviews. This inn must survive based on it's proximity to Lafayette College. It has the potential to be charming but it is obvious the owners are not putting any money into the upkeep. Our room was musty smelling and the carpet was downright filthy. I couldn't stand to walk on it in my bare feet. The bathroom smelled of mildew and the back of the shower curtain was full of it and the tile floor needed a good scrubbing! It was desparately in need of a paint job. The outlet that was most convenient to charge phones was not working properly. It was reported but not repaired during our 2 night stay. There is a fountain and garden in front that could be lovely...if they just had a gardener or someone who would pay attention to it. On the plus side...the employees were all very friendly and whoever makes the baked goods deserves a gold star! The complimentary wine and cheese offered late Saturday afternoon was a nice touch. The breakfast room was light and airy and very pleasant. While I will never stay there again, I hope for future guests the owners pay more attention to items mentioned in this review.

Dear Nancy P.,
We thank you for taking the time to provide feedback to us regarding your recent stay. We do respect your privacy so we had to wait until the room was emptied to replace the outlet, as this required the power to be completely turned off to the room.

My elderly mother spent the night in one room, and my wife and I spent the night in another -- and we agreed as we drove home to Connecticut the next day that the Lafayette Inn may have been the best B and B we've every experienced (and my 80 year-old mother has experienced a few!). The rooms were exceptionally comfortable, even luxurious, the breakfast was made-to-order and plentiful, the staff was highly accommodating -- they even set up a special table for us for breakfast when several of our family showed up unexpectedly -- and the architecture and design of the Inn itself are spectacular. I was raised in Easton just a few blocks from the Inn, so it was particularly meaningful for me to spend such a pleasant 24 hours. Highly, highly recommended.

This really is THE place to stay when visiting the Easton, PA area. Rooms are absolutely spotless and comfortable. Extras such as coffee, tea, soft drinks and freshly baked goods are available any time of day along with wine and cheese Friday and Saturdays late afternoons which makes this a nice escape and place to relax. Breakfasts offer variety and quality--yummy really! DVDs are available for check out and viewing on the in room DVD players. The Inn has a warm, welcoming feel. The innkeepers offer just the right amount of interaction. We always look to stay here first when visiting our son at Lafayette and are thrilled when rooms are available.

Room Tip: Corner rooms are spacious.

This is a unique and comfortable landing spot with direct access to the campus of Lafayette College. Let's face it... Easton, Pennsylvania does have some "down on their luck" neighborhoods but the Lafayette Inn makes you forget all that with its lovely grounds and charming, well kept building. Our room was quiet, clean, and comfortable. And did I mention breakfast? I'd sleep on a couch in the living room to have that breakfast again!

A few things others may not like: no elevator and the wi-fi was a bit "spotty"... small issues for such a great stay!

Room Tip: Top floor was very quiet.

This B&B (large estate) is a great place to stay for a weekend get away. The rooms are large, beautifully furnished and spotless. The living room is huge and there are always refreshments and homemade breads and cookies on hand. They also have a beautiful front porch and a lovely breakfast room. The breakfast is included and the Belgian waffles were delicious. The owners and staff are very accommodating. We arrived a little early and had no trouble checking in. The B&B is close to town where there are some great restaurants . If you like a place with a historic feel, I would highly recommend this gem, you won't be disappointed.

Room Tip: If you want a sunny room pick a room that faces the front of the Inn (like room #27) We also had roo...

We had a perfect stay at the Lafayette Inn! We stayed in Room #1 which is cozy, quiet and very spacious. It has it's own private entrance which made it easy to come and go with our little dog. The grounds are gorgeous and immaculate and just one block from Lafayette College in a lovely part of Easton. The breakfast was so delicious...fresh hot Belgian Waffles made to order, homemade granola, fresh fruits...so many things to choose from! So nice to be able to have such a beautiful place to stay and be allowed to bring our pup along with us as well. We highly recommend the Lafayette Inn to anyone visiting Easton! Can't wait to go back...
