“Full plate, great sauces!”
Reviewed 20 August 2012

We've been in search of BBQ places lately and were looking for a place in the Easton area. We found this listed on the internet and decided to give it a try. The place doesn't look like much and it's small inside. You order at the counter and then wait at your table for your food to be ready. But the staff was friendly, the plates were very full (we took leftovers home) and the sauces along the wall were wonderful. The chicken was a little dry but everything else on our platter was terrific. Loved the brisket and the pulled pork. We'd go back if we were in the area again.

“Nice attempt, but mostly Hit or Miss... and expensive”
Reviewed 27 February 2012

I've eaten at Fat Daddy's numerous times, most of the time with family, so we get a lot of different meals. I would have to say some of the times we've had the food it's been fantastic, other times, not so good. We've learned to stay away from the beef ribs, which is a shame since the first time we had them they were excellent. The spares have suffered the same tragedy. I'm personally a spares fan since they actually require chewing, but the shouldn't require a tug of war with the bone to get the meat. The baby backs have been the most consistent, but are only ok. The pulled pork is typically ok, but then again, no big smoke flavor, and always in the marinade. The chicken is actually pretty good. Not fantastic, but pretty good. The sauces are where it's at, but not all the sauces are always available (the cranberry has the hardest time staying in stock). The sides are the one thing this place nails. The collards are good, the corn nuggets are addictive, and the baked beans are excellent (albeit non traditional with some pineapple in there). Unfortunately, all this comes with a fairly heavy price tag, but it's also really the only game in town. In summary, stick with the baby backs, pulled pork if you need a sandwhich, or chicken if going light. Enjoy the sides, and hope they have the cranberry BBQ sauce.

“Awful!”
Reviewed 18 September 2011

Went to Fat Daddy's for the first time about two years ago, and used as we were to Texas BBQ, we were not too impressed. Today, however, we happened to drive right by the place, so we decided to give it a second chance. Big mistake!! We got the pulled pork and the chicken, and both were as dry as old shoe soles. Clearly, they had been sitting around all day - not fresh at all. Sadly, I wish I could say that the banana pudding we got for dessert had been sitting around all day, but I suspect that it was at least made the day before. All the banana pieces were brown; the pudding itself was sickly sweet and characteterized by a nasty fake banana flavor, not creamy at all; and what was once upon a time Nilla wafers, were now an unappealing mush. Three spoonfuls was all I could take before it went into the garbage. I will say that our two sides, mac n' cheese and baked beans, were quite OK, as was the corn bread, but needlessly to say, we will not be going back to Fat Daddy's .
