If staying in a historic 14th century castle is what you are looking for this is the place for you. The drawing and dining rooms are atmospheric and the interior design fitting with the period. Stayed in a superior castle view room and had comfortable super king size bed but bath itself was small and no luxury in this area. The staff and service was good and they were all very welcoming. There was a wedding party in so the drawing room was not available until 4.30pm but enjoyed afternoon tea in the dining room instead. The breakfast was wide ranging with regional specialities and enjoyable. Overall as booked under a special offer it was the right price but would have expected a more luxurious room if paying the standard rack rate.

We were so impressed last year that we decided to make a visit to Langley Castle a yearly tradition. We again stayed in a Castle View room and it was so luxurious. The staff were as helpful and pleasant as ever and our evening meal in the Josephine restaurant was a gastronomic delight. Roll on next year!

Room Tip: Castle View rooms are not quite as expensive as rooms in the castle itself, but are every bit as lux...

valentines suprise for my hardworking wife, Second visit and still impressed with accomodation and service, Stayed in the Derwentwater room which was wonderful, food was excellent although from the 5 course menu we were only given a 4 course, we missed the soup or sorbet but were so full we didnt complain. In wifeys good books again cos this treat is a special one.Travelled for 2 and a half hours to enjoy this treat and may well do it again.

Room Tip: Have a castle room if you can afford it.

We stayed here for my boyfriends birthday treat. From checking in everything was perfect. The staff were great the afternoon tea in the drawing room to the dinner in Josephine's restaurant a truly first class hotel. We stayed in the tinsdale room and the room was fabulous, perfectly set up and clean with everything you could need. The room turndown service was a pleasant surprise, the hotel and the staff just had those perfect finishing touches. Mark in the bar had a great knowledge of the castles history and mixed a good vodka martini. The dinner was perfect as was the breakfast. It's well worth the trip to the top of the castle which is after breakfast each morning, fabulous views.

Room Tip: Well worth staying in the castle itself

This was a birthday treat and from beginning to end was an absolute pleasure.
Starting with afternoon tea on arrival in the fabulous setting of the Drawing Room to our evening meal in Josephines Restaurant and the Battlements Tour upon leaving, this stay turned out to be one of our best weekends away.
The castle view room had been recently refurbished to a very high standard and was very spacious. I would happily return and recommend to anyone.

Room Tip: Initially I would have preferred to stay in the castle but was not disappointedwith our castle view...

We used a Groupon voucher to book our one night stay and upgraded to a castle room complete with four poster bed. My husband was absolutely thrilled with the whole experience. The service, from the moment we arrived, was first class. We enjoyed a delicious afternoon tea in lounge area and had a wonderful dinner with great food and impeccable service. There was a lot of snow on the ground which added to the magic of the place. I would highly recommend this wonderful hotel.

Room Tip: We were glad we paid a little extra to stay in the castle itself, rather than the castle view rooms...
