“In a league of its own!”
Reviewed 16 April 2014

W dine at Langley Castle for high days, birthdays, wedding anniversaries and usually for Valentines Night and there is no better restaurant in Tynedale or probably Northumberland!

The food is exquisite, the ambience is superb, the service is impeccable and the Castle is absolutely wonderful!

Dine here once and everywhere else will feel like Joe's Greasy Spoon!! The likes of Slaley Hall, Matfen Hall, Bouchon Bistro are left trailing miles behind the Castle!!

The only place we have dined that can give the Castle a run for its money is the Crab and Lobster at Asenby, but that is a bit too far for us to travel.

“Good scone, poor staff”
Reviewed 1 April 2014 via mobile

The scones were lovely and the castle is beautiful, unfortunately the staff let the side down, we were ignored for half an hour after we'd been seated and the staff were slapdash and unprofessional. The young man serving us literally threw our sauces and cups across the table spilling our drinks, I wouldn't have commented on this in a review however we have been three times now and had the same problem, it's a shame because it really is beautiful but it really does spoil the atmosphere.

“Small, but worth the tour if you are in the area.”
Reviewed 9 January 2014

This castle is small, but worth the history and tour to see if you happen to be in the area. It is a hotel, so many of the rooms are not available to see unless you stay there. The stay is worth the price if you can afford it as well as the meals.
