We truly enjoyed our stay in the "Hummingbird Room" and hope to return many more times in the future. Very close to Knoebels, the reason for our visit. The bed and breakfast is very clean. And having your own bathroom is top notch. The breakfast area was very nice and the food delicious. To top it off, Jim and Kareena could not be better hosts!!!! The are very nice, accommodating, in tuned to the guests needs and willing to please. Very hospitable!!!!!

Room Tip: The are all nice!

We really enjoyed our stay. The hummingbird room was great. The location is perfect to visit Knoebels. The breakfast was delightful. We only wished we could have stayed longer. We hope to return next summer.

We have been here twice and absolutely love it. Jim and Kareena are both so sweet and warm. We love breakfast, and the riddles. We loved the accommodations, and the property is beautiful. Our daughters love to go down by the pond and feed the fish. It is so close to Knoebels. It makes you feel at home...which we plan on continuing to do for our annual vacations to Pennsylvania.

We were pleasantly surprised by the amenities, serene surroundings and warm hospitality offered by our hosts. Nice breakfast, well appointed suite and plenty of flexibility. Proximity to Knoebels was excellent and we're planning on returning soon.

Hosts were very accommodating and friendly. Our room was charming, clean and comfortable with a small private bath. We had TV, small fridge and all that we needed for our 3 day get away near to family who were staying at Knoebels. Breakfast on each of the 3 mornings of our stay was delicious and served in a charming dining room. Other guests were friendly, and we very much enjoyed our stay. We would certainly return when we visit the area again with family, and would heartily recommend to anyone who wants a quiet accommodation in a charming location.

Booked this B&B for a July weekend getaway with my wife and two daughters (15 and 18), as an alternative to a hotel/motel and for it's proximity to Knoebels amusement park. Mentioned to Jim that we'd be coming in late on Friday and he called me on checkin day to let me know to contact them when I was about 15 minutes away so someone could meet us and show us to the room - a nice touch. When we got there we were met by the lovely (but limping) Corrina, who showed us to our room, The Roost. We had also requested an extra cot and it was there waiting for us, in addition to the sofa bed and the master queen bed. The first thing that struck me was the attention to detail in all the furnishings and decorations, and second to that was the cleanliness - the room, towels, bath, bedding, etc., were all neat and clean as could be. While showing us the room, Corrina also walked us through using the TV remote, which was a nice touch. That being said, the TV does not have many channels to watch, but we weren't there to watch TV anyway, and there's a DVD player if you really need something. The room has one big living/bed room, with a nice-sized bathroom (with shower and jacuzzi tub), and a small kitchenette with small fridge overlooking the woods. Corrina asked us when we would like breakfast and then left us to enjoy the evening. At 8 the next morning we had breakfast - started with chocolate-chip scones, followed by egg-ham=cheese sandwiches with home fries and fruit. Sunday morning started with Sleepy Hollow's famous cheese danish squares - I had to resist eating them all or I wouldn't have finished my french toast and bacon! Everything was homemade and delicious!

Walking on the grounds to see the quaint pond with good-sized koi and sunnys, a nice bridge and gazebo, lilypads and frogs, etc.- very rustic and peaceful.

A comment regarding the smell issue, I did notice a very slight odor in the room, especially in the bathroom, but I thought it was possibly insecticide. Still, not bad and certainly not lingering on us as mentioned in another review. My family did not even notice it but maybe I'm more sensitive to it. For us, it did not detract from this lovely place and we would love to come back again.

Not many good restaurants in Elysburg so we went for dinner about 15 minutes away to The Old Forge brewpub in Danville - very nice.

Jim and Corrina obviously love what they do in running this B&B and it shows, and our meeting with them at checkin/checkout and breakfast were always pleasant.

All in all, we enjoyed our time at Knoebels and looked forward to coming back to the peace and quiet of our room to relax, and look forward to returning sometime soon!
