I figured out a way to stay here again by doing some research along the way. Our stay last year was wonderful, 2 nights. This year we only had one night but it was still as good as last year. This year we stayed in the yellow room, which has a queen canopy bed, fireplace, desk, 2 chairs, dresser, flat screen TV, free wi fi, closet with small refrigerator and large bathroom. There is a large stain glass window in the bathroom. It is very lovely.

Rebecca and Lucky were as friendly and welcoming as ever. She recommended a spot for us for dinner close by which was good. Before breakfast the next morning we sat in the lounge and read the paper and watched TV. Breakfast the next morning was excellent - fruit cup of grapefruit and apples with mint, pierogi's made locally, and a turkey sausage and cheese omelet. There was also fresh herb bread for toasting, apple muffins, organic and regular yogurt, coffee (good), tea and juices.

I was sorry to go. I highly recommend this place to anyone who visits Lancaster or York County either for the tourism or a romantic getaway.

Room Tip: All the rooms are good. The Crimson Dove and the apt on the main floor are the largest.

what a wonderful old house! Rebecca and Dave have done a wonderful job of blending the old with the new, they have paid close attention to detail and truly provided a great place to escape to The breakfast served daily were truly meant for royalty! Everything was homemade, fresh and very delicious. I highly recommend this gem of a B&B to all my friends and look foward to returning myself.

Room Tip: all the rooms were beautifully decorated

The Inn is very charming and Ephrata is a wonderful town, centrally located to lots of activities. The Innkeepers are a great couple who are very friendly, accomodating, and helpful. Our room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was spectacular and we actually got some cooking suggestions and lessons. We both thought it was a good value and we would be delighted to return.

We had a wonderful time staying at the Smithton Inn last weekend. The owners were lovely and made us feel very welcome. The room was clean, quiet, large and pretty, and the breakfast was delicious. We highly recommend this Inn if you are visiting Lancaster County, and we would definitely stay there again.

The Smithton is a great place to stay. With a bed and breakfast you never know what you are going to get but the Smithton lived up to its high ratings. Great location and great breakfast.

Room Tip: gourmet breakfast
