“Quaint and Quality!”

I really enjoyed my stay there. The staff was very nice and helpful, and they gave good advice. The breakfast is not the best, but it would take off the hunger if you like pastries, cereal, fruit, and toast. Coffee of course!

Room Tip: The stay was clean and not very expensive if booked online prior. I had to add a night, and it was m...

I was passing through as a party of one, from Ohio to Montreal. As I was coming after work and departing for early mass, I did not meet any of the staff in person (I stayed during closed office hours). They accommodated perfectly to what I needed. There were no rooms for one available, so I received a room with three twin beds with no additional charge. There was a warm welcome note waiting for me, and all contact on the phone was clear and personable. If ever I come through Erie, this will be my first choice of stay.

On the return trip, I stayed at a downtown hotel and had a sketchy experience; Glass House Inn side of town is definitely safer and maybe 7 minutes away from downtown. I recommend here. A friend told me Microtel is also a good location. Safe and enjoyable traveling!

Stayed here during a fishing trip to Presque Isle Bay, Erie, PA. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, we had two large bass boats and they allowed us to park next to the pool area without unhooking our boats and use the pool house to plug in our electric cords so we could charge our batteries on our boats each night. The staff was very friendly, always asking if we needed anything and giving us suggestions on dining places. The continental breakfast was available every morning with a good variety of food. Location close to Presque Isle state park. Great place to stay for fishing trip or just time away from home. The only thing I would have to say on the negative side, is upon exiting the parking lot, there is a row of hedges that makes it a little tricky to see on coming traffic. Looking forward to next years trip and very high odds of booking here for our place to stay. Thanks for the hospitality. Danny D., B'ville, WV

We were more than happy to offer you our hospitality, Danny! We always try to do our best to make our guests' visits go as smoothly as possible, whether that means providing places to charge your boats or pointing our great places to eat. Glad you were happy with the result! We'll definitely keep your feedback about the hedge in mind. We're looking forward to your next trip as much as you are! It'll be great to have you back. Thanks again!

We stayed at the Glass House Inn last summer while in the area for a family reunion and we will be staying here again this summer for the same. The people are fantastic, friendly, and very helpful. The rooms are cute, clean, and comfortable. The pool was a great bonus as my nephews spent pretty much every waking moment they could in it. I guess the appeal of a nice warm pool was stronger than swimming in chilly Lake Erie with Bessie.

We all had a great stay at the Glass House Inn and look forward to another one this summer.

Room Tip: I actually stayed in 2 rooms as there were 6 between our group. I would recommend any of them based...

This hotel was a great pick for a no frills weekend trip to Erie, PA. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and homey. I loved that each room had its own motel style private entrance with parking right outside your door. Rooms are quiet; even though the hotel is located on a main road you can't really hear the traffic from in your room nor can you hear your neighbors through the walls. Staff was friendly and the room was well maintained. Had a small refrigerator and microwave, which was nice. Location was just a couple of minutes away from Presque Isle and about 10 minutes from downtown Erie. Everything was easy to get to. The only thing that I would have changed about the hotel was the breakfast was limited; we were able to fill up but there weren't that many options.

Overall, very pleased with our stay! It was nice to have the character of a small, family owned operation instead of a chain. Will recommend to friends and will stay here again in the future!

The motel is decorated in 50s style, right down to the plates and cups at breakfast. I saw things that remind me of my mother. The Glass House Inn is on a busy road, but had double windows at the front and a small bathroom window at the back which opens. It was clean and comfortable, although I could see a few places the vacuum cleaner didn't always cover.

We're glad you enjoyed your stay with us so much! As a family-owned establishment that's been in business since 1957, we're not surprised you felt so nostalgic here. We get that a lot, but that's what we're going for, so we're happy to hear you felt that way.

We're also happy that you were comfortable here, and we'll certainly take your small piece of constructive feedback to heart. Though we see you're based in Sydney, if you should find yourself back in Erie, we hope you'll pay us another visit. We'd be happy to host you again!

A step back in time to the classic Route 20 motels that used to be everywhere. This one has survived in fine shape and is far enough away from the interstate to be quiet. Loved the period tile in the bathroom. Great maintenance, cleanliness, and friendly staff have let this motel stay attractive and affordable and not gone downhill as so many others. If you want new, it's not for you. But if you appreciate classic, you're in for a great.

We're so glad to hear you appreciated our place! We've been family-owned since 1957 and we haven't changed much since then, so "classic" is definitely the right word for it, we'd say. We're especially glad you were so happy with our service, and we look forward to hosting you again!
