“Primo pasta and more ...”

This restaurant is under new management and menu and the food is superb. We have been there three times already. They make all of their pasta from scratch to order and their own sauce, which has a wonderful slight sweet flavor. My husband had the Endless Homemade Pasta bowl and my brother-in-law had the Baked Ziti and both thought they were excellent. My daughter thought she could live off of the Mac N Cheese balls appetizer forever. I had the Black and Blue Burger which was done perfectly. This is a must-try in Bedford County.

Appears to still be closed from last winter. We liked the restaurant. Hope they re-open.

Wonderful little hotel with a very good restaurant. Right off the PA Turnpike, it's a great place to stay while traveling across Pennsylvania. We stayed overnight in. July. Staff very helpful.

Booked this as a last minute getaway and so glad we did. The hotel is absolutely beautiful and convenient to the Bedford area. We stayed in a king suite. Have to mention something about the suite - it's not a typical suite that you would get in a full service hotel. It's much smaller and has a very small sitting area but it was so nicely done and the bathroom was pretty incredible. If you stay here you must eat in their restaurant. Their chef is fantastic. We had dinner both nights and can't find a single bad thing to say about our meals. She's pretty amazing - I believe her name is Laura. We also spent some time at their Tavern and loved it. Here's the not so good comments - they really need to get someone for their front desk. When we came down to check out around 9:30 a.m. there was no one around - and I mean no one. After waiting about 20 minutes we found the chef who called the mgr. who was on her way in. I guess it's still a new venue and not very booked so their staff is minimal. We finally got on our way about 10:10 - not the end of the world and it won't prevent us from returning but it is something they should fix. I also wish they'd open their coffee bar - there is nothing at all in the morning which is not how it's portrayed on their website. All in all a beautiful place to stay, eat & drink - all for the right price!

We appreciated how fresh and clean the hotel was,and enjoyed its beauty. However, there were some kinks. There was only one nightstand and one light near the bed, and it was inadequate for reading. There were other lights, but they were all a bit low on wattage. The bed was a bit bouncy, and something crunched and crackled when we moved. The iron bed was lovely, but the footboard stuck out from the mattress, and I kept tripping on it in the dark. Thre is a heater/air conditioner, which needs careful adjustment, and is very loud, even on low. There is no desk or work table, and no refrigerator. For ice, you have to go down to the main level and get some from the kitchen. Or I suppose you could call the desk, if they're not too busy. The marble bath is stunning. I could have used a shelf under the sink and a grab bar for getting out of the tub.

The main problem was that no one made up the rooms on Sunday. Perhaps they were too busy with the brunch to think of it. The night manager offered to bring us anything we needed, but the unmade bed was a bit of a turnoff. The staff were all friendly, but they cover a coffee bar and restaurant as well as the hotel. It's not a big enough operation to warrant one person at the desk at all times.

It's the best option in Everett right now, and I hope they can fix the litle bugs, as I do intend to return.

Room Tip: Beautiful, but 205 bad for reading in bed

This is a unique hotel and it is so special we will be back anytime we come thru this area. The place was built in 1805, and was bought by the firm which owns one of the largest granite and marble companies in Pennsylvania a few years back. They closed it and took I was told five years to redo everything. Now, any horizontal surface you see is probably granite or marble and the place sparkles inside and out.

The upside is while the building is historic and totally restored --- they do have an elevator, a really decent restaurant and a rathskeller bar in the basement (with the huge 1800's stones visible on the walls --- The down side is the place seems to be undiscovered and thus not too full. Everett has fewer than 5,000 residents but is right off the Pennsylvania Turnpike so close to a lot of people passing and is more or less midway between Pittsburgh and Philadelphia --- if only more stopped! The town is charming, and the shops and people very friendly. They can't do enough for you! People need to "find" Everett which means driving by the chain joints at Breezewood or Bedford (the two closest turnpike exits) and taking a few miles (it's fewer than eight from either exit) on the Lincoln Highway to Everett.

Anyway the only negatives we could find about the hotel were lack of food in the early morning...we got up at 7 (was a Sunday) but they ONLY serve a buffet on weekends and from 9 a.m. Not handy if you have somewhere to be going... and they seem to lack staff. We were told that the hotel still is not open every night --- if they have no one booked in their 10 lovely rooms or 2 suites, they just lock up when the restaurant shuts! This means to keep costs down (and we got our room for a reasonable $149) they don't have a huge staff. Good for the budget and the needs of the hotel right now. Bad for guests who like us walked down at 8 am and found the restaurant shut, no one working on the desk or anywhere to be seen! We ended up finding a local restaurant, doing breakfast and coming back about 9 to check out and be on our way. There WAS someone there then, but we were told they had 7 rooms occupied that night so we think someone should have been there at 7 or 8 a.m. to see us off!

OK so enough complaining, we will go back and back as we adore the place's charm, and the town. The room while not huge was very comfortable, extremely well laid out and nice. We do wish they'd add a grab bar in the shower / tub or provide a mat (marble is lovely, but slippery!) and a 2nd chair in the room would be nice, too---they had one and the bed, so with two of us only one could use the laptop while the other was confined to bed! Finally, a word about high-speed free internet. It IS free and they were nice when we asked at the desk about the speed, but it is NOT high speed and barely moved the needle when we checked speedtest.net after e-mail refused to download. We were told the small, rural town offered nothing better, but we do wish they could or would try, because it was maddening. Of course, what did we come to the lovely town and mountain scenery for but to relax, right? Next time we will leave the iPad at home since it hardly works there, anyway, and enjoy more time wandering by the Juniata River and browsing in the Everett and Bedford shops.

Room Tip: Just ask...they really do try hard!

I'd guess the only hotel in Everett along the ole Lincoln Highway. Recently refurbished spic & span hotel. Has own bar and restaurant (with great food), no breakfast (only coffee). I heard the hotel is owned by people who own a quarry so lots of marble (and wood) in the hotel. Quiet rooms, good beds, clean, I wish all hotels were like that. Only minus might be that in winter/fall the bathroom could be kind off cold. The entire bathroom is in marble (or similar stone) but has no heating. There is only one heating/AC unit in the bedroom.
