My husband and I were in Frackville, PA, for a wedding, and we had gone to our hotel to check in, but our room was not quite ready, but they did allow us to check in and gave us a recommendation of this restaurant to have lunch at. I had read the reviews on Trip Advisor, and thought it sounded okay (this restaurant goes by two different names on Trip Advisor, but they are the same restaurant) and we like to keep things local when traveling or at home.
We were there on News Years Eve Day, and it was nicely decorated and the employees were all dressed up, even though it was only 1:30 p.m.! It added a nice festive touch, and the Christmas decorations were up, and Lord knows I do love Christmas decorations!
The positives were that, since we were seated near the kitchen entrance, which isn't always a good thing, but in this case we couldn't help but hear the older employees give advice to the younger ones..."don't you DARE drive and drive, call me for a ride! " and also we saw how they guided the younger ones to take care of the patrons...."go see if they need more coffee" ( I think this was because the young person had just started) and it was always done with kindness.
The waitstaff was wonderful and accommodating. The food....well, I had the meatloaf, and it was okay, my hubby had a hot turkey sandwich. The bread that was brought to our table was thickly sliced and very good. The meatloaf dinner was covered in globs of thick, clumpy gravy from a can, but we were so hungry it didn't matter. My husband also had coleslaw as one of his sides, and it was very good and creamy , finely shredded, not the huge shreds you get at some places. We also received a discount wen we paid the bill and showed our hotel card. The place was clean, and after 3 hours on the road, it was a welcome stop.

Small new regional chain producing the best coffee around. No bitter or strong ! burn taste like others.
Seriously producing the smoothest finest coffee around. Nice setting at Lakewood Ranch location. Other SRQ location across from downtown Whole Foods.
They also have great, locally produced baked goods including a croissant imported from France and baked here.

We were happy to find this as opposed to another fast food place, when you need a break on your journey.
Pleasant waitress.
My BLT was good but my husband did not enjoy his pot roast so much.
I enjoyed looking around the shop for souvenirs , cards, books etc.

We stopped here for lunch after taking the Yuengling Brewery tour earlier in the day. Food was ok, nothing special, we had the "Rookie" which suppose to be grilled roast beef but it tasted more like "minute" steaks, on grilled rye and fried onions. The Dister (?) hamburger was a hand formed patty but again nothing special. Our waitress was actually very rude and seemed mad. Must have been a bad day.

We had a very pleasant lunch at the Dutch Kitchen on our way home from Florida last year and timed our passing through Frackville at lunch time so we could enjoy it again. Once again we were warmly received and seated by the very pleasant and helpful hostess. The coffee was very good and our food arrived quickly. I had the soup of the day and a chef salad and my wife had a BLT. All were very good. As with our visit last year we had no room for the tempting desserts on display. Maybe next year.
