Ginger and Sam are the ultimate hosts in a beautiful, historical home set among green fields. The breakfasts they prepare will last you all day long so you only need to eat twice a day. They recommended some great excursions and arranged a wonderful Amish dinner for several of us. I would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: We stayed in the best room, the Masters Chambers

Ginger and Sam made our visit better because of all their advice about local backroad places to add to our list of things to do. It was all they advertised and more. *****
Beautiful home with lots of history. Located in a great spot. Surrounded by fields and farms. We will definitely stay with Sam and Ginger again. Thanks so much for a wonderful experience...

Charming, comfortable, friendly. Unbelievable breakfast. Ginger and Sam are very gracious and answered our many questions about the area and people. Their recommendations for food and points of interest were spot on. Sam even arranged a tour that was of special interest to our group.

Room Tip: I would recommend not staying in the Freedom room if you have a choice. It does have a private bath...

This was our second time staying at the Stultzfus Bed and Breakfast. Ginger and Sam are so accommodating to their guests. Ginger remembered that my two friends and I all like to sleep in our own beds so she had a roll away ready for us when we got there. Plan on eating lunch later in the afternoon, as you will not be hungry after eating their fantastic breakfast! Planning another trip for the spring. Can't wait to go back!

My friend and I stayed three nights here, and had a terrific stay. We both want to bring family members and friends with us on a return visit. Soon. Note to breakfast-lovers: if you enjoy lavish breakfasts with farm-fresh free-range eggs, locally made sausages and scrapple, locally produced jams, jellies, cheeses, and fabulous breakfast pastries and parfaits, you will love this place!

The hosts, Sam and Ginger Stoltzfus are both friendly, welcoming, and clearly want their guests to get the most out of their stay. Sam is a local, and a great resource for answering questions about Amish culture and traditions. Ginger made a number of "must visit" recommendations (for amazing local ice cream, cheeses, meats, pretzels, crafts) and arranged for us to have dinner with a local Amish couple in their home--fascinating and really special. We ended up visiting everywhere Ginger recommended, and were glad we did!

The inn is pretty, farmland on all sides, and charmingly decorated. The dining room has tall windows with views of farmland and trees, and a large stone hearth. We stayed in the Farmview Suite which has two bedrooms, double sinks, a separate shower and claw-foot bathtub. Because the inn was recently renovated, the bathroom was fresh and modern, and all the plumbing worked beautifully. The suite included a large living room and table and chairs for four. A refrigerator and microwave, along with paper plates, plastic cutlery, and napkins was a thoughtful touch.

Ginger makes the breakfasts, and each day we had a SUPERB breakfast. Amazing egg dishes, terrific sausages and breakfast meats, homemade bread, always something sweet (killer coffee cake, a Bananas Foster-like compote, one morning a Shoo-Fly pie because my friend mentioned that I'd never had it before) and beautiful fresh fruits. I'm not a coffee drinker, but there was a gorgeous Jura for guests to use at any time, and so there was freshly-ground espresso and whatever other fancy coffee things a Jura can produce (I think lattes, cappuccinos). Also a great selection of teas.

By chance one morning there were just the two of us for breakfast, yet it was every bit as lavish and thoughtfully prepared and presented as when there were eight guests at the table. And our hosts were just as attentive and hospitable.

Incidentally, I think this would be a great place for larger groups, too. The main house sleeps fourteen (I think), and it's possible to rent the entire house (and with a discount). There's also a beautifully renovated carriage house with full kitchen that is separate from the main house--nice for families with young children and infants because of the privacy (and breakfast is still included!). I didn't take photos, but the inn's facebook page gives a good idea of the inn, the rooms, and the breakfasts.

I liked that the inn is right on route 340 which takes you into Intercourse and Bird-in-Hand (great shopping, country foods, crafts). Even though the inn is on the highway, it's set well back, and was unbelievably quiet and peaceful at night. This is a very pretty and pleasant inn with lots of thoughtful touches, warm and caring hosts, memorably delicious breakfasts, and guests from all over the world. Thank you, Ginger and Sam. We're looking forward to our next visit!

We stayed at the Stoltsfus B&B for three nights and it was delightful. Ginger served the most scrumptious breakfasts. The best I've ever had while staying at bed and breakfasts. Ginger also pointed us to several out of the way places to visit in the Amish country. I would definitely stay at this Inn again.

Staying in the comfortable B & B with Ginger and Sam was part of the joy that we experienced in Lancaster, PA. They made us feel like family and we felt as if we had known them for years! Their smiles helped make us feel at home, they gave us tips on where to go, etc., and the breakfast was five star!
When my husband and I return to the Amish Country, will we stay at the Stoltzfus Bed and Breakfast? You bet, we will! Betty M.
