Stayed Thanksgiving week had just had a very bad cruise experience under very bad circumstances the staff bent over backwards to assist me and my fiance with many unexpected needs. This is a great place to stay, clean, orderly well run and most of all very friendly. I plan to go back and stay again when in Pittsburgh.

Was very discussed! Reservations had been made for us, driving all night in snow didn't make it to motel till 7:30am ( check out is 11pm) however no refund. We were tired so just told Matt we want a room. Rm 320 had hair & blood on sheets , told Matt he gives is another room, I was so disgusted no way I could sleep, I would not even put my dog down on the floor!! We left!! Noticed my debit card had been charged $142.02 & 127.02. Called motel & was told the &127 should come off in 2-3 days, but the $142 would be up to general manager which was not there . How can you charge someone to just walk in & walk out of a nasty room! Will make a claim to get a refund.

Ok, the good, check in was acceptable, the bad, breakfast was less than acceptable, the ugly, couldn't get an upgrade, was told "all booked up" ( I took a walk around , and they lied). Breakfast was on the verge of acceptable, was thankful for Eat n Park ( I;m sure management was too as they saved some money for the owners Benz). All in all it wasn't worth the effort to stay here, by the way, this place is an old Red Roof Inn ( 'nuff said ).

Room Tip: drive the extra couple of miles ...........

The room was not as nice as the internet showed. It was a bit smaller. The desk clerk was very friendly and helpful. The shower was kind of small. Looks like it had been refitted. I'm not tall but hit my head on the shower head. The breakfast was good but could have been more gluten free choices. For a one night stay it was fine.

Our room was clean and quiet. Definitely no frills but adequate. Close to the freeway and numerous restaurants. Plenty of parking and next door to an Eat-n-park with another restaurant across the street.

Room Tip: West side of hotel away from Route 8

We chose this hotel because it had smoking rooms available for the time we would be in that area, also chose the Jacuzzi room. Our stay was from Tuesday to Friday.
First I have to say the Staff is VERY friendly, and try to be helpful.
The pillows are 1/2 size and our room only had 4, we requested at least one more, the front desk had trouble finding that one but it worked. We requested an extra ashtray as both of us are smokers, they couldn't find one that night but did get us one the next day.
Being as close as the motel is to the busy highway, it was quiet in the room. Our room seemed very clean on the surface, aside from the moldy smell in the bathroom, (We left the Jacuzzi fan on the entire stay which kept the smell out of the room area) Day two we notice that there are spider webs in the window corners, and none of the corners of the room are clean and have spider webs as well. The corner floor behind the bathroom door was just gross, like no one had ever bothered to clean it. Very early on the 2nd day my husband got up and when coming back to bed he stepped on something just under the edge of the bed, turns on the lights and reached down to discover a broken piece of glass pipe, ( Like a CRACK pipe) and later that day he dropped his towel getting into the shower and sees a small twisted piece of plastic bag on the floor next to the commode. So apparently previous guests had quite a party! We threw it in the trash, thankfully he was not cut! and as we are leaving we find the Owner?manager? in the elevator, we mention to him that we had not had the room cleaned that day as we slept in, and then told him about the things we had found. He promised to get the room clean asap. When we returned 6 HOURS later, our room door was left OPEN! the room was clean, yes, but they didn't Close the freakin' door all the way! We were lucky apparently no one noticed the door ajar and all of our things were as we had left them. We also asked for late check out Normal is 11:00 am and were told that the holtel was booked solid so we could stay an extra hour, we made it work.
Across the street is a GREAT restaurant Max & Erma's. If you go there ask for the funnel stix and strawberry sauce... to die for! and on Wednesday they give away free freshly baked ( as you wait!) chocolate chip cookies! YUMMMMMMM!!
Next door is a 24 restaurant, Eat n Park, which was also very good and the night staff is wonderful!!
If I ever am back that way again, I would probably not stay at this hotel if there was another available.
It wasn't a horrible place, it just really needs a better housekeeping staff!

My family recently took a trip to Pittsburgh, PA. The hotel was very NICE and the staff was Friendly. Our room was cleaned. The beds were comfortable. We would stay here again. I felt like we were part of their family.
