“Looks perfect”

Terrain looks perfect and if you are dreaming of crashing a greenhouse to dine amidst the stars - you will love it. I found the food quite good - a good value for a fine dining experience. But the menu had a challenge to meet the standards raised by the ambience. It's sited at a super nursery and you walk through barns topped with greenhouse roofs. The shop houses amazing garden items, handmade tools of high quality, 18k and natural gem stone jewelryfor the discerning gardener and stacks of garden books amidst yummy sacks ofmoss, amazing plants, terrariums and garden object to adore. There is a fire pit, cozy sofas and warm Pendleton blankets. Professional and attentive (and uniformly pretty/trendy) young staff are warmand welcoming. The decor is magnificent. Go! See! Eat! Butthe meals JUST very good while all else is superlative.

“My New Local Favorite”

The garden setting in the greenhouse is really lovely. Love how the bread comes out baked in a terracota pot. Staff are friendly but enjoy the food here most of all.

Fun for a ladies lunch as well.

“Perfect Sunday morning”
Reviewed 8 January 2012

On the way back from an early Sunday morning airport dropoff, we decided to have breakfast/brunch. Not sure where to go before getting back to West Chester, we remebered seeing the sign for Terrain from Rt.1 and found our way to the back parking lot, then managed to find the cafe through the shop and plant nursery. Immediately the welcome was fantastic and it turned out to be one of the most pleasant places we've ever been to. Interesting decor as it is in an old greenhouse. Food was excellant (eggs and steak and Smoked Ham Benedict (can't remember the exact name). Food came with a bread serving baked in a clay flower pot that was somewhere between a popover (think Jordan Pond House in Acadia National Park), a brioche and a Pannetone. The seasoned butter changes with the time of year (e.g maple syrup flavored, sage, ...). All the food was fresh and apparently as local as possible. Wife is a cappucino addict and raved over the one served here. After eating there are attached shops and one of the best plant stores I've ever seen connected to the Cafe greenhouse. This is definitely in the cards for future visits.

“Gem in the 'burbs”
Reviewed 6 January 2012

I've driven past this place many times and never thought to stop in. It looks like your typical garden shop from the outside but is a beautiful, unique shop and cafe on the inside. My son, his girlfriend and I went for brunch after Christmas. The brunch menu is light and healthy and all very tasty. The portions looked small but were extremely filling. Very notable was the mushroom tart and the mac and cheese.
